JIzz-worthy pass. The Ribery one as well. Very good debut game for him, I'm really impressed :)

I was surprised to see he was the more defensive midfielder in the formation, I expected Kroos to be responsible for that. I thought he played really well in such a deep position. He dribbles excellently and he has amazing vision. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him.

Kroos is too much of a pussy for the single CDM role...

I see Thiago as our Ilkay Gundogan. They are very similar with the only difference that Gundogan has shown his incredible skills as a leader(?) of BVB's midfield against real midfield powerhouses(City,RM twice,Bayern)

MUTU and Xabi thanked this? What about all that talk of him losing balls in dangerous areas?

Three on the first tel cup game, three on the second one. Same exact number in both games as Kroos on mind count. Spox, however, wrote an article on his first appearances that should prove an interesting read; gives a tactical analysis as well.

Spox wrote:Passing Game: With the exception of occasional errors play Thiago proved why Pep Guardiola wanted him to get to Bayern. The youngster has an exceptional ability to adapt quickly and effectively. At least on this day was only tempo-wise keep up Toni Kroos, who played also very directly - without having to hold the ball long. Thiago and teammates but still need time to find the right set. Thiago played twice from intuitive - in the assumption that Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery understand the intention of the pass - two times was a dangerous counter attack situation if the ball drop.
