Koke doesn't boss the midfield. He plays as a side midfielder.....

He defends, he press, and he doesn't stop running while doing the same or better when attacking than thiago.
(Of course he doesn't boss the midfield the way schweny did)

Highly doubt you watch Koke play. Koke is used as a side midfielder, rather than through the middle because he is unable to play in a 2 man midfield. So, he helps, like Thiago and is physically stronger than Thiago, but he doesn't boss anything.

He is an upgrade defensively from thiago, but if you mean BOSS, you mean Modric, not Koke.

Simeone doesn't care about that side of the ball much, which is will Oliver Torres is completely invisible to Simeone

Weird thing is that people say thiago has had a down year or whatever, but these are his whoscored states..

Starting midfield rating 8.0

Overall, his whoscrored rating is 6th on the team in bundesliga and 2nd for Champs League.

Just like any player, he has his ups and downs. He is an excellent player when of form, but recently he is in a slump (as the entire team is to be fair). His reading of the game has been a bit off and he's not being able to create space using his skills as effectively as before. That's particularly true when starting from the beginning, but he's being a lot more beneficial for us when coming off the bench. I think that should be the case today as well.

I would prefer him off the bench as well in those big games, his movement and creativity comes real handy when the opponent is already gassed and he had fresh legs.

He always does, he's still in crap form.

Even "Thiagoalcantara" should've noticed that.

Absolutly no room for criticism today. If Müller would've scored and the ref wasn't blind we'd be through.

Hahha. No room for criticism, but no bernat and Thiago, yet atletico would of scored 2 goals at home...

Alonso was good today...

But Müller as a scapegoat is a little easy... Why did we play so poorly last week and bossed them today? He still hasn't learned CL is about TWO good games...
