Gnabry has to go to the world cup. No ifs no buts.

I will tell you how. Squad of 25.

Goalkeeper:Neuer,Mats,Leno

Defender:Hummels,Boateng,Kimmich,Hector,Howedes,Sule,Plattenhardt

Midfielders:Kroos,Khedira,Draxler,Gundogan,Goretzka,Sane,Ozil

Forwards:Timo Werner,Thomas Muller,Mario Gomez,Sandro Wagner

That leaves 4 spots open no. of forwards and goalkeepers are full so I think it will be split as 1 more defender who can play as fullback 1 of Ginter or Rudiger. Now we need 3 more midfielders ,Reus definitely if he is fit, so 2 left ..for that 1 has to be wide midfielder/winger and 1 central midfielder most probably. If Reus doesn't make it then Gnabry goes definitely if not then lets see. Gotze has the upper hand for that 1 spot since he is Low's favorite else Demirbay challenges him and to an extent our own Rudy and if all hell breaks loose in Low's head then Emre Can. Now for that other last spot its only between Gnabry or Brandt, Younes can't compete with them. I will take Gnabry over brandt any day all day. Gnabry can get me goals, can dribble, has speed, has proved himself with U21s,Werder Bremen and now with Hoffenheim, each in different roles, differenct positions, different managers. So fingers crossed we will see 9 bayern players on the plane to Russia and if luck is on our side then 10(Rudy) and hence we will create a record.

Pretty clear who Löw will take only seven defenders as always and only one between Wagner and Gómez with the first favored.

Pretty sure right now the list is more like this one:

Goalkeepers: Ter Steven, Leno, Neuer/Trapp/Ulreich?

Defenders: Hummels, Boateng, Kimmich, Süle, Hector + two of Plattenhardt, Höwedes, Ginter, Rüdiger

Forwards: Werner, Müller, Wagner/Gomez

Midfielders: Kroos, Draxler, Khedira, Goretzka, Özil are pretty sure of their spots so there are only five spots avalaible for Reus, Götze, Gundogan, Sané, Brandt, Gnabry, Can, Rudy, Demirbay, Phillip and Meyer (the last two were never called but are playing quite well and can play in more roles and we know who Löw like that)

If it's impossible, why was Loew clearly watching Gnabry play?
Loew watching Gnabry play means that Gnabry is neither 100% in nor 100% out but is being considered as an option.

That is because the situation is straight forward and quite possible..but none of us would want it..
If Reus is fit then Gnabry only goes if Gomez/Wagner is dropped. Nobody wants this.
If Reus is injured Gnabry goes. Nobody wants this too. But I think it is inevitable..Reus can't stay fit for that long.

Gomez will likely stay at home. Two true strikers are more than enough for Löw...

The most likely list see three goalkeepers, seven defenders, ten midfielders and three strikers (and Müller count as striker)

I'd say Gnabry's real competition will be Gotze. Right now Serge is ahead.

My favorite part about this kid is he plays fearless and a hard worker on the pitch. I don’t know exactly where he would line up next season but to deny his talent would be ignorant. So far he has shown he can score goals and not just a poachers goals but ones where there was a lot of work to be done when he received the ball....

And also that he shows that he is enjoying himself on the pitch like a young boy.

Exactly! His attitude/body language on the pitch reminds me of a young Thomas Muller. He is a lot more technically proficient than Muller was in my opinion which lets him pick up the ball and be more fearless with a better eye for goal than Muller was but the enthusiasm they had is no different....
