And ramsej should be careful with his predictions... How’s Rudi, our midfield monster, doing? ;)
He almost scored just now

That was when I wrote it yeah - but he’s doing what we all said in most games - they call it "the Rode"

And Sané played for a more shit Schalke side than current Hoffenheim and definitely plays better opposition... Are you telling me that goal had anything to do with him? Has van Drongelen written all over it...

Sané's Schalke - with Fährmann, Höwedes, Matip, Kolasinac, Geis, Meyer, Goretzka, Draxler, Huntelaar, Nastasic, and KP Boateng - were worse than Gnabry's Hoffenheim, where the best players he's got to work with are Uth, Kramaric, Amiri, and Demirbay?
Come on. Sané at Schalke had FAR more talent surrounding him than Gnabry currently does.

I look back to Sané vs Brandt. When he was here in Germany, Sané was inferior to Brandt in every single way imaginable, every metric you could find.... It wasn't till he got Guardiola and a billion dollar squad around him that he started to look better.

Again, I'm pretty sure if the roles were flipped, you'd be taking a different tune...

He always -looked- better... And I always felt like he was better too...

Now Gnabry is definitely a bigger goal threat, but if you’re looking for a Robben-like player, I think he’s not the right fit... But I'm willing to give him a shot, we will not compete for the CL for years anyway, so maybe he’ll get there in a few years...

And no, I wouldn’t

The only thing that i want from him is to carry his momentum to Bayern. He is super sharp the last couple of weeks, probably he can score a lot of goals with James/Thiago assisting him.

Gotta love Gnabry’s ability to run at defenders with confidence!

IMO Gnabry isn't the player we need neither has that huge potential but of course I'm willing to give him the chance to develop and prove himself because the kid looks that he is a hard-worker, in the last two years he has developed. As #12 mentioned many top players in the world right now didn't look promising at the age of 22-y for example KDB has been loaned to various teams while he literally get kicked out from Chelsea and flourished in Bundesliga quite lately(24-25y ?) Same for Salah, same for Boateng and many others. I hope that Gnabry will enter that list but I think that Pulisic and Bailey have higher ceilings.

As for Sane, he is a good talent nonetheless but it gets into my nerves when he gets that kind of praise while half of City's offensive plans are planned on him and he delivers 1/3 of his portion. He single handely gave the City v LFC tie away for his team. Imagine what would happen in the Bayern world and in this forum particularly if we were playing them and Coman had those brainless performances of Sane in this tie... Ooh man we would crucify him and rightfully so while with Sane? Still world-class... even if he couldn't even serve a couple of good verticals for 180min while all the game was made in his flank, receiving the ball and getting his 1v1 with ROBERTSON(!) just to think that it could be Coman there... Poor Robertson!

Don’t think Sané is world class just yet...

You people are way too easy with that term...

@#12..if gnabry finishes 2nd highest scorer behind lewy (which is very difficult but not impossible) then your opinion would change?

You’re not wc in 1 or 2 seasons in my book... I already said, he deserved a chance in our squad... If he cannot bench Ribéry, he’s shit anyway... I think Coman will play though...

And scoring is great, but we need more than just a scorer...

So to answer your question: as of now, he’s a player to watch - but not to hold your breath for... Definitely better than average but also profiting from others underperforming...

Loew watched Gnabry play yesterday. When Gnabry was subbed off, Loew left the stadium.
