This works great for Moscow because of he does well for us, his price goes up. A CL winner fetches a bigger price than whatever they could get by loaning him to Schalke.

Because I think it's a waste of money and resources... We won't win anything apart from Bundesliga with Tasci - and we can do that without him... He's average at best... So why not test a young player to maybe find somebody with an actual future here? Also, Schalke did not want him because of a demand of a mandatory obligation to buy by Moscow... So if we would HAVE to buy him later it'd be even worse... Rather than signing a promising quality player in summer we'd be stuck with some deadweight blocking a squad spot...

Men, you are unrealistic. We cannot find replacement for Boa in few days, that kind of deal happen after few months of tracking and negotiation. If Pep had prominent kid from youth program I'm sure he would include him. Otherwise, prominent kid those days cost 20+ mil euros. Look from bright side, Badstuber, Kimnich, Alonso and Vidal at least have someone to train alongside. Pep will play with best one and for Bayern 2.5 mil euros is not big gamble. Doesn't make sense to have loan with obligation of buying, in that way it's selling. Who knows what kind of dealt Schalke wanted (maybe loan for free of charge or for 1 mil euros).
I would say this is win-win situation for us.

It is official now.

Now the best CB in the World, but a very good choice. He is German and played Bundesliga before, he also played with the German national team and has CL experience.

Somehow I feel that Bayern regret letting Kirchhoff go (or him regretting leaving Bayern)

Can't really see how he, a backup player at best, could slot in at centerback in front of players that have been playing under Pep for years.

Whatever. Obviously not a Pep transfer and with it being a loaner, it could very well end up a Kirchhoff transfer. Luckily 2.5 million is peanuts for us at this point...

Law of averages says #12 is going to be right about one of our transfers eventually. Either that or Murphys Law. I always forget which applies more.

Unlikely given that Kirchhoff has been terrible for Sutherland.

As I said, Spartak demanded an obligation to buy from Schalke... Also, a player who basically knows he's just here because nwe have injury problems and is nowhere near to being a match for our usual defense is not really a killer signing IMHO

Since we've loaned him, is it also agreed that we MUST buy him in the forthcoming summer or they gave up with that obligation?

I also read that today around 13h on one Croatian site. The mentioned fee was 10 mil €.

Jeez, you surely don't know how to stop, do you?

All you do after EACH transfer Bayern does lately is bash it, even before that player put a foot in a Bayern shirt. And yet, you did it again.

Tasci is better than no Tasci. He's a player with Bundesliga experience and he speaks german. If he can take pressure of the other players in the league (especially Benatia, Badstuber and Alaba), he'll help us.
He could indirectly make a difference between trophies or no trophies.

as sammer and KHR mentioned there are few to none options on the market at the moment. the board looked for a solution and came up with a decent one to say the least. i believe everyone should appreciate the fact that they acted when needed. i completely support the decisions of this board
