A big thanks MUTU. I really appreciated this vid. I regret to say that I rarely saw him play cause at that time even though I used to follow FCB I had no access to see most of the bliga matches :(
This guy must never be forgotten.
Any news about him? - I remember in Euro 2000 when he was 20 yrs old there was a big pressure on him cause it was only himself and Ballack who had class... I think this really affected this poor man.
But thanks Seb for what you did to FCB and the German ftball in general.

No. In 2008 he claimed he wanted to become a football physiotherapist, but even though I tried hard to prove this claim, I found nothing to back it up.

I've just found on a site that he is living in freiburg and running his own business selling items from nepal and the himalayan region. I am not sure about it however there were claims that he must be of bhuddist faith

Great video. Thank you Mutu.

I notice that he has a killer dip on his crosses. Amazing. Just amazing.

Yesterday it was his birthday; he turned 36. He could still be playing today if he wanted to.

In a parallel universe, he'll retire in Shanghai at the end of this season. :(

I remember clearly even his pre-Bayern days. For me personally - I never got over his retirement. I still feel sadness in my heart when I see his name. Such a happy face with a huge bad luck. So much talent and class lost to injuries and poor mental strength. If he had even 10% of Badstuber's state of mind - he would have gone through the bad times.

Best Bayern player EVER that never reached his full peak. The sky was not the limit for him. Such a shame for the football world and for him.

Same here , his first Champs League with HB where they advanced to the second gr stages. When I saw him vs Milan I knew that he would become an imp player.
If I am not mistaken Milan was one of the clubs interested in him. Cause they too have/had a habbit to sign players who were their opponents.
Then the 2000 euros... Him and Ballack had the impossible task to lift an ageing Ger NT.

He had more talent than Lahm and Schweini combined, it weird as it sounds.

Injuries and his mental state denied him, though. A very sad story for the German football.
Anyone knows what he does now and where he lives?

Mental toughness is part of the footballer's greatness.

Never said he is a football great, only said he had more talent than both of them combined.

Talent without total commitment and mental toughness means nothing.
