Young attacker Sandro Wagner could be on his way out of Bundesliga side Werder Bremen as fellow German outfit Koeln have shown an interest in signing the former Germany under-21 star, according to a report in Express.
The Geissbocke are desperate to add some more depth to their attack in the January transfer window and head coach Frank Schaefer supposedly sees the 23-year-old Wagner as the perfect signing.
Wagner came through the ranks of the Bayern Munich youth academy, but never managed to secure regular first team action with the Bavarians. Therefore, he opted to leave the club for Duisburg in the summer of 2008.
The striker moved on to Werder Bremen in January 2010, but has so far been unable to make an impact with the Hanseaten.
Therefore, Werder could decide to farm Wagner out on loan until the end of the season and Koeln are supposedly ready to sign the striker on a temporary basis.
