Shot accuracy and shot conversion percentage are not the only things to look at. Lewandowski is scoring more goals per minute and he has more competition for goals from other players than Aubameyang has. Yes, Lewandowski has more shots, but did you ever consider that he's just more willing to shoot or that he creates more shooting opportunities? Not all shots strikers take are handed to them on a silver platter just because they're strikers. Lewandowski also has to unlock much more compact, defensive formations than Aubameyang does because all teams do is sit back against us. Aubameyang is a very good striker, but Lewandowski is better.

Have you ever thought that none of the other strikers have better servants than Lewy? He's the best fed striker in the league... he should reach or beat Gomez's tally with all those chances...

That's expected at this rate... unless I don't know what... Last year he had 105 total shots, this season he reached 75 by now...

He has 14 goals in 13 games... 3 assists... In his best season here Gomez had 28 in 30 games... and 5 assists... Also he was playing in a Bayern that was still sometimes finding an opponent that was not JUST defending... And his shot statistics aren't really much better... ;)

I think Jancker just likes to complain and be as pessimistic as possible.

This doesn't help his case. It means that in the rest of his 1050 minutes played he then only scored 9 goals.

Yess JANCKER you are absolutely right ! Lewandowski is shit, I think we should sign Aubameyang next season cause he's very very good and scores a lot. Maybe Vardy too.

And then Sagnol as a coach =P~

That will be the new Super Bayern !

If you say so... :)

Here's how they compare

Others reached 14 goals or higher with 55 shots or less... Penaldo is the most "efficient" of 'em all.

I don't know, making any case against Lewandowski is either shallow, superficial or simply blind sided. No other team in Europe has more possession than his and there's overwhelming evidence that most of that possession is spent on Bayern's attacking third. That's a lot of people in the box. Heck, Müller has spent half the time helping move those parked buses, with amazing even success, hasn't he?

Last year it was the same thing. Bayern doesn't allow others to have the ball and that makes it extremely difficult to find space to maneuver. Second half of the season strikers get some overwhelming different stats given the fact that games need to be more open in both leagues as teams either have to get those points or walk out of potential season targets. Hell, Lewy became a Madrid target hardly due to his group stage prowess or games vs Málaga for crying out loud.

Neglecting the fact that he needed more shots than fellow strikers in a non-possession based team also. Stats speak for itself... He's a good striker but he's not our best ever, stat-wise he's not that much of an improvement over our previous strikers. :P
