Don't get this myth at all. Barca had plenty of strikers. Even if the system made Mandzukic look poor, Guardiola stuck with Mandzukic anyway. Even considering our bigger successes that first year came when Mandzukic was dropped. Mandzu was just too limited against strong defenses.

By all accounts, he is very happy with Lewandowski in that role. Just because he wants a certain type of player in his system doesn't mean he "hates" a position.

You think he'll talk about him when he's still here... wait for him to leave then he'll start talking like the others did.

Well I think Lewandowski will say Pep was his greatest role model and best friend ever. There, now we've both said something there's no evidence for.

But you can't trust what he says now either... we'll wait and see. You can't expect everyone do to do a Mueller and shout.

That's true, you can't. But you also can't assume he hates the guy just so it fits a narrative. It's wait and see.

That will cost you... But it's guaranteed.
No but what do you expect to badmouth him while still here... I don't think so...

Doesn't mean he dislikes him and is just waiting for him to leave to shout it...

Maybe he is maybe he isn't, we'll find out... past experiences suggest so... and that's one of the reasons that people call him stubborn.

All kidding aside: at least LEwandowski seems to get along wit him (now)... I think he (Guardiola) has adapted to some players more, knows how to handle Thomas better, talks more to Mario because he realized the youngster needs that... That's actually a PRO on my list...

Keep in mind that Pep has only six years of top flight football experience. Four of them he coached mainly a core from La Masia, guys who absolutely loved respected adored and cherished him. The last two years, it's the first experience he has outside of a club where he was a hero, a legend, a symbol on its own. Maybe he needed some time to improve his man-management skills? I don't know if you noticed, but this year he subbed off both Thiago and Lahm when they were having a subpar, not to say super bad performance. That would be unthinkable two years ago - Pep dropping his babies? No way .....

There were plenty of reports in his first years about problems with Mandzu (we know that), Mueller, Lewy, Goetze. None since August/September, we've even seen big bear hugs and stuff like that with Mueller and Goetze

If you think about it too much, maybe he just needed more experience? Not everyone is Ancelotti from day one you know? Maybe, just maybe, he learnt from the past mistakes and started from scratch where he though a relationship was damaged

I never said something else now, did I albanian7? And I'm very happy about it... Because it actually means he DOES learn, so there's still hope for stability on defense against top opposition - as well as the occasional shot on goal... :P ;)
