I really admired his performance... he was truly fantastic... he fought and was brutally fouled on numerous occasions... he reminded me of another forward warrior. Well done to Lewa. keep it up.

He efficiency (and confidence) has improved a lot in the past month, and that has given us a whole new weapon to use.

You see. A few months ago you wanted to bring on Chicharito and get rid of Lewandowski.

That's why I usually quote you. You need to show more respect to the Bayern players/coach. It's good that you finally realized how good is Lewy for the team.

From Misski to Golski in just one and half month. Well done Robert!

Now you're looking like a real striker. But this is not the best, you CAN and MUST even more than this now.

Still doesn't change my opinion, not a little bit more about his competition in attack who must be brought this summer. No question he can remain the only one striker playing up there. [-X

The fact there are no rumours about new out-and-out strikers joining Bayern means that they're doing their job well in the background ;) :coffee:

Sooo... with only one game left this season, what's the forum's opinion on Lewandowski's first year with us?

For me personally I think he's had a good year - not hit the heights in terms of goal scoring that he did with Dortmund, but that's only to be expected - he's no longer the counter-attacking striker who is always at the point of the attack, but now constantly looking to play team-mates through on goal apart from scoring himself.

He can still be prone to the odd wasted chance when we expect him to bury it no problem, but on the bright side:

He can genuinely score goals out of nothing, some of his goals this season you wouldn't have expected Mandzukic to pull off in a million years.

He scores in the big games: He's scored against Dortmund the two times we played them in the league and the time in the Cup (and when it comes to Dortmund, league form and position are irrelevant - they always play their best against us). He's also scored against Schalke, Roma away, Manchester City when down to ten men, against Porto with two goals when we needed them the most, and Barca at home (true it was nearly a dead rubber - but scoring against Barca is still no mean feat).

Rarely injured - The only injury he suffered was a concussion - and he was playing a week later. Says it all really.

He also can assist and play people in effectively around and in the box.

Great understanding with Mueller.

The only thing that sometimes looks out of place is his goal scoring record - he has 16 league goals and 24 goals in total - Harry Kane has scored more this season. But on the other hand, like I previously wrote, he's not carrying the goal scoring burden on his own, we have a host of midfielders and attacking wingers who all chip in with goals as well.

He has the first touch of a god and his ball control is simply amazing.
Looking forward to the next season.

Good first season, I'm very happy with him. He just needs to work on being more efficient. Our players need to pass to him more.
