Fair answers. I liked the one about Sanches' higher potential ceiling; never thought about it that way.

Next question; he's still on the developing phase. That much is quite clear.

Having said that, how much time should be given to him? He wasn't brought in to sit on the bench but to win trophies and Alonso is surely leaving in July. Goetze, whom Bayern invested close to the same amount (in transfer fees, wages vary enormously) was shown the door after 3 seasons.

It's normal if it's harder for him than it was for Thiago who knows Guardiola system or than Götze who is german and knows a lot of players in the team.

The guy only has 19 years old.
He was injured 4 weeks when he joined the team. That doesn't help.
He never played in a 4-3-3 and in a possession system.
He doesn't speak german.

When we played in 4-2-3-1 against Atletico, he played his best game so far. And it's just logical :
- he had 3 months to acclimate himself to the team
- he played in a 4-2-3-1 in the position he played in Benfica

He deserves time and I hope he will have time. For me and for what he showed against Rostov and against Atletico, he deserves more playing time. On the others hand, I hope Ancelotti will use him more often instead of using an useless Alonso who doesn't represent the future, neither the present.

And if after 3 years there is no improvement like Götze ? Then it would have been a bad move from Bayern.

At least the same amount time as Götze, but Sanches will only need one year. He is destined for greatness.

People do know this is only his second season in top flight football since he was promoted from Benfica's youth ranks last season. He will definitely need time adjusting to the professional especially in a top league like the Bundesliga....

In my opinion, as long as he keeps showing glimpses of potential he has all the time in the world. The moment he stops doing so for an extended period, time's up.

Would you say this is good or bad news considering it's Loddar who said it?

"Renato is having a few problems adapting to his new surroundings," Ancelotti told Kicker.

"Platini also had his difficulties when he first joined Juventus.

"It is the result of a new language, a new country, a new club and a new team around him.

"Plus he is still very young. We have to be patient with him. He will improve in the second half of the season.

"I have not seen many midfielders who have the same power he has. But we just have to push him in the right direction."

Using Alonso all the time instead of him or Kimmich isn't being patient. It's being stupid.

How a young player like Sanches, who need to play to improve, can be happy when he sees a old and weak Alonso playing instead of him every game ?

If I was him I would regret to sign for Bayern instead staying in Benfica or going to EPL.

Part by part, Ancelotti starting to ruin his career.

We talk about a coach who use Beckham against Barcelona instead of a 20 years old talent named Verratti. And I would bet Verratti wouldn't have the same success with Ancelotti who don't like young player and rather 34 years old dude instead.

Look at Varane... never played with Ancelotti when Pepe and Ramos was fit... and Zidane make Varane a real starter.
