Golden Boy award: Sanches shares the 2nd place with Coman (13% votes), Ousmane Dembele is first (33% votes).

I think Sanches was the only great thing against Frankfurt, I liked him very much despite referee's huge effort to mess his game mentally.
He was fighting, delivering, threatening and determined on the ball, he misplaced some passes that shouldn't but thats comes with experience I think and took a hero-long shot that it wasn't needed but we were much better with him on pitch replacing Alonso, offensively.

I thought he showed a lot of why we brought him aboard as well. A powerful (an apt term this time around, not the classic semi-racist description given to black midfielders) presence in his dribble - I love the one run where he took on like 3-4 players and shrugged off their challenges through upper body strength. He could provide a great vertical foil to Thiago or Kimmich if actually allowed to bring the ball forward and not forced to cover for fullbacks (seriously, what the hell Ancelotti?)
The ideal team

-------Müller---------Müller-------
----Müller----Müller----Müller----

He looked better than his previous outings but he needs to work far, far, far more to emulate the performances he showed against Bayern in the Champions League last season. I have great hopes for this kid, but so far he's kept me waiting.

That challenge at 60ish minutes in was awesome, threw his shoulders in so hard but clean. He was releasing passes earlier and looking a bit further across the field for options. If he can learn to read the game a bit better he will work out just fine.

He was the only midfielder with balls in the last game and it was smart for Carlo to put him in at HT....

His capacity to protect the ball is incredible but imo he seems to try this trick too many time ... sometimes it's like he is waiting the opponent to show "you can't catch the ball"
Neuer - Kimmich, Boateng(Süle), Hummels(Süle), Alaba - Vidal(Martinez) - Robben(Müller), Müller(James), Thiago(Vidal), Ribéry(Coman) - Lewandowski

Combination of youth fire show off + proving he is worthing €35m

I agree he does that but we should always take into consideration his age, I really believe into this kid, personally I'm certain that game by game season by season he'll reach the quality level we all dream.

I agree! Sanches is still very raw right now, he only has a year of professional football under his belt and even less of top quality league football the BuLi has to offer. I can see he is on the right path at the very least....

The suspension of Tom Starke reminded me that I was really impressed by Renato Sanches in that altercation. Intelligent, didn't let Huszti push him around. Just stood up to him, no headbutts, no slapping, just standing tall and let Huszti walk himself into trouble. Let his boys have his back. Surprisingly mature move imo from a kid of 19.
