English media :coffee:

for 400 million we can start negotiating ....

Are you mad...its a matter of prestige esp with these manchurians...even for 1 billion he is "not for sale" we don't need their money..renato is OUR pride and we don't sell our pride..

Also..those manchurians are mad or what?he already decided against joining them ONLY 2-3 months ago..have some shame..what does mourinho think of himself?

The only ones losing pride in this scenario would be utd for once again being really dumb.
Pretty much like all their transfers last 3 seasons.

Quite an honor for the young guy. His rise is truly astronomical. At this point, I have a hard time picturing him as a backup this season...

I find it unlikely that we brought a player (no matter how young) for 35m just to be a backup ;)

IMO Carlo will want to play a midfield 3 with Vidal, Renato and possibly Thiago as the starters.

A midfield of Vidal and Sanches makes my ankles tremble in pain lol. To be honest I consider him a starter for us though. The only problem is, in a midfield of 3, do we consider Sanches a starter over someone like Müller?

Not Müller. I think we will emphasize central play way more, with Müller playing as a Right-sided AM like he did for Germany 2010. If Carlo does such a thing, the losers would be Coman/Costa.

In this scenario, how would Bayern line up?

Neuer
Lahm-Hummels-Boateng-Alaba
Vidal
Sanches-Thiago
Müller-Lewandowski-Costa

Something like that. Carlo liked that sort of strong midfields back in his Milan days. The regista though, might be obsolete with the kind of distribution our central defenders are capable of. I'm very intrigued about what our midfield will be under Carlo.

In the current market I wouldn't be surprised. He has the talent to be a starter though, as long as he earns his place.

I guess Vidal-Sanches-Javi/Thiago and then Ribery/Costa-Lewa-Muller EDIT: Maybe Kimmich as an outsider for the Javi/Thiago position.

going off-topic, but this is what I'd like to see: 433, with Vidal and Thiago as central midfielders and Müller in the attacking midfielder/secondary striker role. On the wings whichever of the options we have. Sanches is bound to become a starter during the season, but I don't want to see him at the beginning. Give Thiago this chance, he has potential to be masterclass and we need a creative/dribbler midfielder in the line-up, not two box-to-box. If he disappoints, to the bench he goes.
