Not to mention that Boateng is a far better CB than RB.

That. It's a bit of waste to use him as RB when he is very good -and can be better- as CB.

I agree with you guys. I like Rafinha as RB and I like Boateng as CB

And in the last weeks I've read to some users that we have a very bad defense and I totally disagree with that. We had one of the best defense so far this year until Schweini got injured. Now that he will be back we will surely have a good defense again. Maybe we need a backup CB but Lahm--Badstuber--Boateng--Rafinha is at least a good one.

BTW are there any pics of Rafinha's new haircut? Tflags said it was funny

I wish we would have more stability in defense. Rotation is good, but rotating out one player (Rafinha) shouldn't mean that we have to move Boateng's position too.

As for the CB backup, DVB is in good form and I don't mind having him, while Breno is probably going to get another chance. I wish we bring in someone else too, but what we have is decent enough

I think it is time for Bayern to reconsider Rafinha's future with the club. He is unfit for his position, plain and simple to me. His defensive coverage is too weak.

I'd much rather see Lahm at RB and Contento given his chance as a natural LB.

Players like Rafinha do great in other teams, but at Bayern the standard is so high that they will always be average. Plus he doesn't work well with Robben. I believe Robben was so amazing his first season because of Lahm. Our scouting department need to find a player like Lahm. Then we have a left and right version. Contento is a good player, but has only shown glimpses of talent -- he is NOT an immediate solution. Our scouting department is smoking crack over the last 4 seasons -- and the Bayern Board is penny-pinching its way to failure -- we need to scout top notch players from all over the world, and be willing to spend some money to solve a problem we have had since the retirment of Sagnol.

I sincerely hope not everyone who's better than me at football is also considered to be good enough for Bayern. That would be our end...

Rafihna is not the guy we expected him to be, and since Bayern have two great LBs in Alaba and Contento Rafihna isnt the guy. Hopefully Bayern can groom or find a replacement for Lahm the guy is 28 and in a couple yrs this convo will come up again

Well at 26 Rafinha isn't exactly still "up-and-coming" either, now is he?
Jesus saves, but Kahn does it better ;)

He's 27.

And I see him as a good back up for Lahm if he's ready to be one. Lahm shouldn't switchover to LB now. Alaba/Contento have that position covered.

Happy Birthday Rafinha. :D

Well it was his first year. There are several players ahead of him but let's not forget about him just yet. He played very well early last season.
