surely you can understand the frustration, no? I love Kimmich but I don't think it's unreasonable to say that Rafinha is a better RB *right now*... of course we want to get Kimmich on the pitch, but I'd even argue that Raf was better than Lahm for large portions of the past season...SO i don't think he's that out of line to express a desire to want to play more this season. Every player wants to play, there's nothing wrong with acknowledging this fact....
And Rafinha has long been a favorite amongst the players and in the locker room....I am sure he'll be disappointed if he doesn't play much but I don't think he'll suddenly turn into a locker room cancer or anything like that...

Wow, "same old talk"?
Rafinha is an absolute role model for a professional footballer.
All he's saying is that he's still here and won't give up his spot to Kimmich that easily.
Nothing wrong with that, nothing to do with being a "crying baby"..

But I know everyone here wants Kimmich to start, even though Rafinha is still class
Even last season at the end people complained that Rafinha played RB and Kimmich in midfield, forgetting that Rafinha also deserves his minutes.

I just say he talks too much. It's the 4th time he gave an interview about that.

Well as long as he's being asked the same question, one can expect the same answer. He won't go saying that "I am ready to come on for Kimmich when he is being rested or injured".

Nothing wrong with that statement. He says he wants to compete for his spot, and that's what any player should think all the time. He also admits thought that being a reserve has still allowed him to play a lot of matches, even with someone the quality of Lahm playing.

How does he think he has the quality to be a 1st team player here..have we fallen that low?
His is the weakest link in our squad..sanches is at his level but if given time sanches will surely improve ..but he won't..

He's simply saying we shouldn't write him off for the sake of a 22 year old who has never played a single season at RB.
Rafinha has always been very reliable. Really no idea why everyone is so pissed off at him.

Really don't like how you're coming out of your hole now after that AC Milan game in which he admittedly played very bad. But so did Hummels and many other players.
Alaba has been shit for months now, Rafinha hasn't been much worse to be honest.

Really ?

The guy is like Bernat. Not reliable at all for our biggest game.

Even a poor Alaba and poor Lahm will ever be ahead of them. Same with a talented Kimmich.

After Alonso left, our weakest links are Bernat and him. thereby, we need to add at least one of Henrichs and Toljan to our squad next summer. considering his contract will run out next summer, Bernat's contract has 2 year more, so perfect time to sell him next summer.

I remember Rafinha being pretty solid against Dortmund in that cup-final.
Pretty funny saying that even when he's never really played in a real big game. Just like Kimmich.

If he answered: "No, i wanna sit behind Josh all day", you guys would be after his ass aswell. Can't do anything right. Apart from not answering any questions I guess.

Rafinha also said that Kimmich shouldn't have moved to RB before. Saying that l wanna fight for my place is one thing, being disrespectul to his team mate is another thing. What Rafinha did is the latter. After all, this player doesn't know his boundaries.
