I read that in a couple of places, including the Sky Sports iPhone app. It is a bold statement, but it gives Guardiola great support and takes a lot of unnecessary pressure off him. Possibly, Bayern would like a long-term coach, and reckon that Guardiola is as close to ideal as anyone.

On paper and through history yes, he could be the best coach in the world but if that is to be proven over a continuous period of time, he should step up his successes to a new level by at least securing us a CL trophy in the few coming years :D

He hates that tiki-taka illusion that media created. When I said tiki-taka doesn't exist, this is what I meant. I've been hating that word long before this came up, now I can see I was not the only one. I know there are like a billion who hate that word and Pep altogether, but I was not hating it in that sense.

When was that word first used? I believe it's not more than 5 years ago.
Was he the one to invent something that no other team or coach ever before did or thought of. If so, that makes him a genius, and he deserves 'the greatest coach ever title'. So you were saying?

Football has been played for quite some time now, and I don't believe Pep has invented something to deserve a new name, Pep's football is attacking football(total football). Mourinho's 'parking the bus' is defensive football, nothing new to football either, long before him Italians called it 'Catenaccio'.

Medias will make up stuff, they need new stuff. Tiki-taka word has mostly been used in a wrong context, most people think that it means passing the ball around without reason. Pep is a perfectionist of football, he didn't choose the easy way, he doesn't count on luck.

I don't like Pep's tactics at all. Too much moving the ball back and forth and not direct enough. The masochist in me hopes that he flops this season, gets the boot, and then we get stronger with somebody like Thomas Tuchel who fits much better to our players. I'm also afraid for Goetze's future if Pep really plays without a 10. He's not going to be good on the wing in Pep's inflexible possession system. He always played much better centrally for us. I'm really worried about his future. We need to play more German style. Pep is trying to mold his players into his system rather than make a system that fits the players the best. Bayern is so stacked right now with top players and I think Pep will hold the club back. But because Bayern is so stacked Bayern will still win the Bundesliga convincingly and get far in the Champions League despite Pep.

I don't care if it's called tiki taka or not. But his possession obsession is nuts! We need Jupp Heynckes back or get Thomas Tuchel.

I've always felt at many times that his tactics are a mix of Bayern's default tactic in 2013 and Pep's philosophy. I don't think he'll dare to fully implement his Barcelona ideas here. e.g He rarely played on the wings at Barcelona but in Bayern he did many many times.

The people who say Pep should get the boot, should go and root for another team. Seriously. He won the league and cup, European Supercup and Club WC and on top, we came into the semi finals of the CL and that the year after the triple. That is an immense accomplishment, even in the fashion HOW they did it, 19 points ahead of Dortmund. Normally a team is not focussed a lot after winning all in a season, but Pep managed them to be focussed.

To bring Tuchel into this subject as the perfect follow up for Pep, i ask you why? Because he had one good year with Mainz? How would you know if he is a perfect fit for Bayern's players? He never coached an elite team with players like Bayern.

As a Bayern fan, you should stand united behind the club, team and coach, no matter who is in it. But to say and hope Pep has a failing season and gets the boot, i wonder if you even are a die hard Bayern fan. Or just heard when they have succes.. And be silenced when they don't. Jupp Heynckes digged up everything the players had in them, if he would have stayed or would come back now, it would not work that way.

Pep is the best man for this job and it takes time to put his system in place, you don't change that in a couple of months,. That's what everybody said when he started, including himself. But ofcourse, this is the media problem aswell, they same something and all the sheep follow blindly.

Tuchel? Hahahahahahaha man if you want titles, you gotta get a coach that can win one. Tuchel did great at Mainz but so did Moyes in Everton. Until he moves to a bigger club and win a silverware, then we can talk about him.

I don't understand this Götze can't play on the wings. He started there in BVB then moved to 10 when Kagawa left. He can play in the wings. He just had a below average first season.

What exactly is "German style"? Germany just won the WC with an almost Bayern tactics albeit at a faster tempo. With Kroos out of the picture, that's exactly what I'm expecting to happen this season.
