Can you name me managers that won CL in their first season? I can only remember Heynckes, Di Matteo, and Ancelotti. Two from RM who is favorite to win CL since 1956.

Just go play FIFA14 or Football manager if you want to win treble every season. At least in FIFA14, even Chelsea doesn't park the bus.

That makes me hate Pep more. Our players could win Champions League without Pep and win the WC without Pep but with him we get embarrassed by Madrid at home.

I am not Pep's biggest fan, but I am sure they couldn't fire him after one year. However if the core of his team can win the CL and the WC without him, playing a possesion style though not obsessed by it, then he needs to really put up or shut up next year. He has a wonderful team at his disposal, top in the world maybe, he better achieve the trophies that he ought to or he should leave.

Yep! I can't recall, but Heynckes almost won in his first Bayern season in his 2nd arrival.

Pep haters logic. I bet many of you wanted to fire Jupp after his 1st year, I heard many people say WHO IS THIS JUPP GUY? - before he won the treble.

Yes, there were alot of people who wanted Jupp to kick in the ass through the door on Säbner Strasse. :D But these things won't happen if you watched football in the early or middle 90's.

After all... Jupp is German, Uli's great friend and former teammate in Elf squad. Many people think Jupp was so gentle, nice and warm, but far from that. My grandfather told me the story about him. He was very strict, often shone like Osram bulb how angry and mad he would become.

I still remember that serious and determinated face during short Schalke spell. Seems like with years coaches like Trapattoni, Capello, Pekerman and Jupp are becoming relaxed, less despotic. :)

Pekerman was also a despot, but Colombians told how he started to smile, let things flow. Even Capello after the first match gave Russian players free day in Brazil to visit city, get know with the culture and life of residents.

Becoming 'relaxed' cause of their age, everyone changes with years. I've already heard before about their temper. Uli admits regretting that he fired him after his first spell. He couldn't have retired in a better way. :)

Bayern found a decent replacement for Jupp, the most successful manager of this generation: Pep.
Why Pep? He represents attractive and attacking football, that's another Bayern standard, that's the opposite of what Mou and other destructive strategy managers of the past represent, that never could've been part of Bayern.

Yesterday I finished Zlatan's autobiography and I'll never look at Guardiola the same way I used to.

How can you take seriously the words of a person that speaks about himself in the third person?

Zlatan is the best according to Zlatan.

Well, Guardiola of course. It was even his first season with a top division club and he won not just the CL but the treble. :)

Foundations of long term success take time. Came from Catalonia to Bavaria, learning new language and new team. He has to adapt to the players, he doesn't have the players he did at Barcelona. But the players need to execute his ideas too. Board didn't bring him here to repeat Jupp Heynckes, he is here to take us to the next level.

Let's see what he will try this season. He's been pretty ballsy with his tactics, so it could get exciting 8)
