It's hard not to like the guy. Been watching the youth players for 3 months now..It just shows how hard-working he is.

He refuses to answer a question about Gomez's future. Rummenigge says he will train with us on Wednesday as normal and then we'll see.

I'm a German-Australian who has grown up and lived in Australia for most of my life, but I speak German to what I'd call an almost-native level. I was perhaps a bit harsh initially - his German is very, very good for someone who has been living in New York and who has only been learning for six months or so. In that sense, you're certainly right to be impressed - and the more of the press conference I see, the more impressed I am with him, in truth. I was perhaps being a bit judgemental of his German because his sentence structuring has been a bit basic (but to be fair to Pep, it's hardly reasonable to expect him to be making things too complex at this stage).

He deflected the question about Gomez. KHR is said that he'll train on Wed and then we'll see. No official inquiry till now.

He said that he'll have to adapt to the players. That's what I wanted to hear. 8)

"My German teacher in New York was a #BVB fan, so she wouldn't let me come here earlier:" #Guardiola earns a good laugh for that one.
