Pellegrini sucks because he still thinks 442 is the way to go in europe. By the way, doesn't he still have a chance to win his 2nd PL title in 3 years ? Guardiola will take them to the next level.
He'll do it when the contracts are signed. Do you know that the contracts are signed or not by any chance ?
The only one that is childish is you.

Well, if you need to label it...

I for one have another point of view that doesn't let me oversee ethics and morale just because I like somebody... Feel free to feel differently... Just ask yourself - would you also if it wasn't for your favorite coach? ;)
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

Shitty won't become a mayor European superpower overnight just because Pep joins them, as good as I think he is. He has excelled over the years in making brilliant players play brilliant and dominating footfall, but he has not shown that he can make second rate players take on bigger guys.

Ask yourself this questions and try to be very very objective and base your opinion on current capacity alone (not on club significance):

Would any Madrid player be a starter at Bayern? Probably Carvajal and Ramos, maybe Modric and maybe Ronaldo.

Would any Barça player start at Bayern? The whole MSN most likely, maybe not Suarez. Busquets maybe too.

Would any Bayern player start in Barça and Madrid? Alaba, Neuer, Boa, maybe Thiago, Müller and Lewy (on Madrid).

Now, would any Shitty players start in any of the above mentioned teams? No. Plain and simple. Not even KdB (unless both Robben and Ribery are out at the same time).

Their problem is not just a manager, its the overall quality of their squad, which is second rate. Pep will either have to forego the kind of football he has played for his entire 6 1/2 years of coaching career or just buy a whole new sqaud for Shitty. Which makes his decision baffling, as Arsenal offers a better squad with WC players such as Özil, Bellerin, Cech and Sanchez. But, oh well...

That's nowhere in my post... ;)

Whatever he is... I'm still not sure whether or not you liking him is tainting your judgement... Regardles... Just don't act like my viewpoint changed ourt osf spite or anything... I think that kind of business is spiteful...

No way that Suarez prick would start instead of Thomas :P :D

I also think Shitty have quite a few very talented players that - on top of their game - are actually WC material...
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

It's hard to compare Müller with anyone because of him having his own position no one else plays. I know you were kidding but Suarez should be compared to Lewy. Anyway, any of those WC players they have would start at Bayern, Barça Madrid when on form? Any examples?

Agüero, Silva, De Bruyne could compete.
Maybe Kompany.

Agreed...
Also, I dont think Sterling is much worse than say Coman (then again, Coman probably wouldn't have played as much if all the players were healthy...)

Coman is not in our theoretical (everybody fit) X11, that's why I said the KdB comment. Silva would have to compete with Thiago or Müller (never going to win), Kompany against Benatia/Javi (IMO, not going to win), Sterling would compete against Costa or Robben (nope). Agüero vs Lewy, no thank you (to me Lewy=Suarez=Benzema>anyone else).

Matthaus slams Guardiola: Bayern's players never really loved Pep [source]

The former Bayern skipper told SportBild: "Guardiola can say what he wants: The squad planning for Manchester City is too important. He cannot possibly be 100 percent focused on the job in hand at Bayern on his mind. That's a dangerous situation to be in."

"Guardiola will have five difficult months in Munich."

"I don't want to beat around the bush: There never was true love between Guardiola and the Bayern players. His hugs? It was all a big show."

Mario Gotze is the most high-profile player to have struggled to come to terms with the demands of Guardiola’s management style and Matthaus claimed the German World Cup winning hero will benefit from playing under a coach more renowned for their motivational skills.

He added: "Gotze needs a coach, who not only hugs him sometimes, but who is serious about this as well like Jürgen Klopp."

To a certain degree I might agree a bit'; surely not all the players... but I am also sensing some sour grapes from LM

Because he used to be captain in this club and is one of the best players that Germany ever had?

Matthaus and Beckenbauer cause more harm than good to Bayern these days. What he said is going out on a limb. He might be right - I wouldn't know - but he's stretching it, dismissing what players have said and Pep's actions as fake just to fit his point.
Super Bayern! Super Bayern! Hey! Hey!
