No team better for Guardiola than Bayern Munich - Matthaus [source]

The World Cup winner feels the Spaniard has had every wish fulfilled at Bayern Munich and cannot understand why he has not signed a new contract

Chelski's demise is what makes me want Pep to extend. He has taken a treble (and later WC) winning team and made them compete at the highest levels. Yes, he has had his fair share of low moments (vs RM), but the way he has motivated the team is second to none other than Alex Ferguson I would say.

Well, to be fair, the relatively high turnover within the team helps keeping the motivation high.

But, still, keeping motivated guys like Neuer, muller, Robben, Boateng, etc, who have won everything there is to win... Even with the newcomers, it demands good skills.

Seriously, unless it's PSG, Madrid or Barca.

Makes no sense for him to go elsewhere. Both manchester teams would need to cleanup their rosters for pep, whileas those 3 would be an ideal fit in terms of personell.

Can't see tweet? Click here!

SportBild reporting that Pep has been informed of new contracts terms by Bayern.

Also, this article: http://www.sport1.de/fussball/bundeslig ... verkuenden

My German is a little rusty - it's either saying that the extension will be announced during the general meeting on November 27th, or that Bayern shouldn't wait any longer than that.

Come over and we'll work on it - you get the tickets! :P :D
It's actually an older article and it says that they WANT to reveal his renewal at the general meeting and that they sometimes do give big news there... But nothing that's not speculation... However with that Spanish article and what Falk said and if his brother really IS in Munich, I think chances are it's true... (so we're back to Thiago and Guardiola having the same amount of years left in their contracts, just fyi... :P :D :P )
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

He was interviewed by Patrick Wasserzieher for SkyGermany yesterday and at the end he saked: "The club likes you and wants you to renew, the team likes working with you and wants you to renew - do you want to?" - and he answered: "This question is prohibited!"

Although I'm more positive he may renew now - I just don't get the secret-mongering :P
Is it because nothing is signed yet and a lot of things can happen in this business or is it just because he's annoyed by it (understandable, but in a way brought upon himself...) ? This is starting to get odd :D
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

I found encouraging the way he celebrated the goals yesterday. He seemed emotionally invested in the outcome. Sign that thing already Pep! You won't find players as brilliant and devoted as ours anywhere else!

Guardiola keep proving the naysayers wrong (myself included at times :D )!

I think it's vital we score the first goal in big games. I remember in the treble year it seemed like we scored first in every knockout champions league game. With our style of play that will be a big factor in our success.

He's been offered a 27% raise? Damn, that comes to around 1.1 mil per month. :!:
