@fashion guru
I wonder why your post is full of BS and I’m not talking here about Magath because I don’t have any opinion about him.
First “Guardiola is globally proven” really? What is that globe you’re talking about? In Barcelona? For now after 2 years at Bayern I don’t see any extraordinary achievements, 2 embarrassing loses in CL semis, 2 BL titles with squad which is worth 2-5x more than any of the competitors, 1 Pokal.
“Everybody at Bayern is happy with him including players” – that’s interesting where you get that from, official media statements? Would you expect any other official statements? Body language of some of players during the matches suggests something else, but maybe I’m wrong here.
“Klopp did not prove anything……..” – maybe, except that he caused a lot of problems for Bayern star studded squad for few years with the team consisting of no-name players. His “boring, direct” German style excited the whole world for quite some time. BVB fell apart because of their management and not because of Klopp.
The best assessment of Guardiola work is given by UEFA Club coefficient:
2012/13 – Bayern #1
2013/14 - #4
2014/15 - #5 there is nothing more needed to be said.

What? Our coefficient is right now 2nd in the world. If you mean club coefficients, then it's no different an argument than that he "only" made the CL semifinals.

And by 2nd in the world I mean 2nd in UEFA, of course.

fashiondesign_guru wrote:Well, he doesn't have to prove jack to you as he's already globally proven. And wtf did Magath do, he's a **** clown, just comparing a clown like Magath to Guardiola eradicates any credibility your argument might have.

The club already wants to extend with him if he decides to stay, everyone at Bayern are happy with his work (including the players), we'll see if he will. If he won't, then Bayern will go after someone probably along the lines of a similar style as this club doesn't want to win titles by playing a dull, one-dimensional German direct play but someone in the same elite caliber sharing a similar philosophy, so it definitely won't be a clown like Magath.

And Klopp didn't prove anything either, he won a couple of trophies with a concept that was new 6 years ago, then he got quickly found out and got quickly eliminated out of the race while he was clueless in how to respond. Unless he reinvents himself, he's out of the question. You claim Klopp fell behind the pack last season because of injuries but you don't apply the same standards when Bayern had even more critical and ridiculous amount of injuries last year when facing the best team in the world with the best player in their squad without Robbery, wingers, Martinez, Alaba and with a broken Lewandowski who couldn't see a few feet in front of him.

You don't have arguments, someone who claims Magath proved himself more than Guardiola won't be taken seriously anywhere, even by a taxi driver in Munich.. You ridicule yourself.

Again, use the gift of reading... ;)
"globally proven"? - This means being coach in Barcelona? He has yet to prove he can beat elite teams with an elite squad outside of Barcelona - and we're not even talking CL here...
Besides the fact that I didn't compare him to Magath (reading!) but merely pointed out that even he was able to bring back some credibility to our defense: How many elite Teams did Magath manage? His loss to Chelsea was much more impressive than Guardiola's two - and his Team was nowhere near the potential of the current squad...

Also I said: Guardiola has yet to prove that his Team will do better again, once the injured players are back - so where do you think I'm applying double Standards here? (again: reading!)

And last but not least: where do you think I claimed Magath proved more than Guardiola? (again: read!)
But: Just so you know: Magath won Bundesliga and Pokal twice in his first two seasons - so if you look at the facts, he did better than Guardiola - with a worse team...

So what I can make of you is: misunderstanding through misreading (probably), getting angry and then throwing stuff at me I never said - who ridicules himself? ;)
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

Serie A was the second best league last season with that coefficient, but doesn anyone think Serie A is the 2nd best league in Europe ?
These rankings only have a meaning when measured over a long period of time, and right now, Bayern are the second best club based on a 5 year coefficient.

Pep said:
"In our [Champions League] semi-final against Barcelona, Xabi was our best player. He needs a midfielder who will play the ball and run at his side, then Xabi plays better."

This..still people say he is an idiot..

What the hell are you talking about? UEFA national leagues ranking?
How Bayern can be on long term, let say 5 years, in second with this coefficients:
2011 - #12, 2012- #4,2013 - #1, 2014 - #4, 2015 - #5
Barcelona
#2, #2, #6, #5, #1
Real
#3, #1, #4, #1, #3

You're confusing year-end rankings with coefficients.

Ok, here is the link http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uef ... k2015.html
and in 2016, we will see how Bayern will fare because bad year 2011 will be erased but for now Bayern is 3-rd.

Yes, my ranking is up to date and yours is for the beginning of the season 2015/2016 where that season is counted as 0 and 2011 disappears. It's like counting only 4 years in 5 year coefficient.
