And we let LVG go because by the end of it he was too stuck up to change and in order to prove everyone wrong he started making stupid decisions all around the pitch (btw, I think he is headed that way with Man U, but we'll see). I see no reason why we can't do the same with Guardiola as well.

Because Guardiola is not in danger of missing out on the Champions League spots? #duh

Our expectations have also risen tremendously as we have added world class players to our team every single summer as Bayern have grown tremendously as a financial organisation. But yes, things went even worse under LVG.

I think we can all agree that at this point it's make or break time for Pep. He will be given a third year, and if things don't look good in May he can leave himself or we can fire him, it won't make a difference. There will be no hiding for him. Win or lose, it will be on him as he can't possibly pretend that after three years there is a vision that his team just can't see.

Yes, that's what we're talking about.

I don't think practicing penalties would help... Here's where somebody might accuse me - maybe rightfully so - of being unfair again...

No one claims that that would solve all problems. But weaknesses with corners, freekicks and penalties are part of the problem and a part that could relatively easily be solved. If one acknowledges it is a problem and doesn't think practicing set pieces and penalties is beneath the team or not worth the time and effort, that is.

But it's obvious that - besides "drama dahoam" - success in penalty shootouts has declined especially since Pep arrived... And yes, to be fair, I don't know how or what, when or why - but he has to take the blame in some way... Something has changed, the guys are mentally less stable than they used to be...

They were mentally stable enough in the World Cup, though. Whatever you want to criticize about team Germany, mental weakness wasn't an issue.

True - on the other hand they never had to win on penalties... ;)
AND they had another coach (who also was refusing to acknowledge that Lahm is an RB ;) )
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

Except the part where Toni Kroos almost screwed us. Luckily Argentina choked harder!

The amount of criticism pep would recieve if we sold Alonso would significantly drop. As of right now, the only think that he's doing wrong is alosno. I still want alonso here, but not in the role he plays rn

Odds are he won't be playing this role once the season starts and certain players (Javi) are healthy.

I really hope you are correct! I've given pep a lot of hate, but this could rectify my view on him. Not to mention that we'd keep javi then....I love javi!
