True, but just because of the psychological overdrive in matches like these, it's a great indication of Süle's mental capacity and I think we can be optimistic. We were all over Atletico (an inferior team that tried even less) in 2016, but Boateng gave it away to Griezmann for no reason. Of course I wouldn't give him this credit if, say, Dortmund were the opponent.

Hummels-Süle has tended to work out well, better than Boateng-Süle. In fact early season with Ancelotti I actually preferred this partnership.

Süle struggled a bit earlier in 2018 but recently he's been good. I'm not too worried about him playing, it's more that we have no options left now.

Agreed. That's pretty clear.

However the question now is actually whether Hummels-Boateng is better than Hummels-Süle. I'd still trust the former, but it looks like that's not going to be an option anymore this season.

As I said in the rest of the post with Ancelotti I preferred Hummels-Süle over Hummels-Boateng. Not sure if my meaning was clear.

That changed because Süle struggled for a while but now he seems to be playing well again.

Now that Boateng MAY be out for the WC... does Löw start Süle alongside Hummels?

I fear that it will be Antonio who will get picked.
Mind you he has improved but Suele is better imo

Low also likes Mustafi. I think he should go for the Sule just for the sake of chemistry.

Best centre back in Germany. No exaggeration.

Massive match today. I can't say enough good things. 22 and held Ronaldo in his pocket for 90 minutes.

For almost 180 minutes ya mean. Plus Neymar back in December. Soon to be the best center back in the world. Shame we might be wasting his time under Kovac

He's not really a tank. He's not that slow and clunky, and has much more tools offensively than just the bomb of his height - case in point is his control before James' second goal.

He's more like **** Optimus Prime.

I'd say he's like a attack helicopter, but Optimus Prime is also nice.

He's absolutely arrived as an elite talent. He should be the starter next season and maybe he should be the starter in Russia as well. Ace player!
