Mitchell Weiser

Postby dambun » Sat Apr 28, 2012 9:16 pm

According to TM, whose source is Kicker, Bayern is on the verge of signing Mitchell Weiser (18)

Mitchell Weiser is a talented RAM/RW?RM who played at RB for the German u17 team under Buchwald... remember??
He is quite skilled on the ball... many have drawn similarities between him and Danny Alves...

Surely under Stefan Freund? At least I remember him bouncing about in Mexico with the U17 team.

He is a done deal great signing for the future could be our next Lahm/ or a replacement for Robben I personally like him on the wings as the Lahm-Alaba combo has years and years and years to play together!

He's a player like Alaba who can play both as a winger and as a fullback. He's probably a player for Bayern II for now though.

As a side not, he played once in the Bundesliga this season, in the derby against Bayer Leverkusen. Koln lost 2-0.

JH is yet to promote a player from our youth system, like Van Gaal did for Alaba, Contento, Badstuber and Muller(questionable), this maybe his opportunity since he failed in grooming Usami to buy this young lad and play him in our first team, but then again our first team is filled up, so he might probably be a long team replacement for Ribery or Lahm.

Lahm.Benatia.Boateng.Alaba
......Martinez.Schweini
.....Robben.Muller.Ribery
.........Lewandwosski

Shaqiri......Thiago.....Gotze

Koeln would like to keep Weiser longer and extend his contract that runs out in 2013.

Weiser needs to know that we have one of the best youth Academies in the world, if he does not come to us, it would be a poor decision. Also, I think that Bayern would offer a larger wage than Koln which would persuade him to come.

FC Bayern has reached an agreement with Weiser!

In a situation that bears a striking resemblance to Klose's move from Bremen to Bayern, Weiser will either move to FC Bayern on a free transfer at the end of next season, or else Cologne would be forced to negotiate his release as early as next summer. Either way, it can be assumed that sooner or later, Mitchell Weiser will be an FC Bayern player.

Is he intended for FCB 2 MUTU?

Glad we could get an agreement on this player! Definitely quality -- and a young quality German that dortmund didn't get their hands on!!

I read an article which asked this exact question (without "MUTU" of course :P). They said that so far FC Bayern II was not mentioned, so the assumption is that he can already break into the first team, and that he certainly has the skills for that.
