I didn't mean to be offensive, but both Iranian players who played for Bayern (Karimi and Daei) were called "Ali" :)

So that's why....
Bayern had another Iranian, called Vahid Hashemian, though...
Anyway.... You're right in a way.... Ali is a very prevalent name in Iran.

Because it is the most common name for Shia Muslims

and all Iranian Muslims are Shia

You know, I find it funny when not only a moderator but the site admin go completely off topic.

I saw new posts for Rensing and thought maybe you guys would be discussing his first performance for Koln, silly me. Is Rensing Persian?

Ait so from what I read is that Dortmund won only 1-0 but had a million chances but didnt make them

Is it because they missed the target or because RENSING played really well?
There are no match highlight on youtube so idk but ya id like to know if Rensing maybe had a good performance :D

Rensing did a lot of awesome saves. All of them were because his reflexes. But he is not a solid GK yet. Dortmund hit the post twice and Novakovic missed the same goal chance that he scored against us :)

Rensing was AMAZING against Dortmund. Though I think now he has to be terrible for 6 months to compensate for using all of his mojo in one game.

Not necessarily. A lot of us predicted that he would be great in a smaller club. He's just not up to dealing with pressure at big clubs.
