It's very, very difficult to train two young centerbacks at the same time. It was either Breno or Hummels. However, I'd have prefer if the loan deal was extended. If he continues to develop, he'd be worth more than that next season.

it's sad but he will leave. the best would have been he stays on loan til 2010 and after he bucks as lucio and van buyten will leave, having us breno and micho as starters and his as backup. well we could xtend VB as 4rth CB too.

For Mats personally I believe this was the right decision. He gets his playing time in Dortmund and has people around him that trust him and see a vital part of the squad in him.He wouldnt have gotten all of that in Munchen , but there's always the possibility of getting him back sometime. He would probably cost us a lot more if he continues the great development he's had so far at Dortmund , but Ulli might get smart and install a certain "buy-back" fee in the deal.

I hope we can do that, because say we want him in 3 years time, im certain Dortmund wont let him go for less than 10mil

It seems like we really requested the rumoured 5 million for Hummels , and the Dortmund board were actually shocked by this request and said that they werent gonna take it seriously. While Hoeness stated that he wants a reasonable sum for Mats and if Dortmund cant meet the demands Hummels is gonna be coming back next season.

Sounds good, we could sell Lucio/Van Buyten and have Hummels as 3rd/4th CB!

why not this?:

breno------------lucio-----------------demichelis---------------lahm
lell---------------van buyten-----------hummels

i don't think we are gonna sell any of our CBs and we are looking for a RB. i would like to see breno there cause also it's dificult to have 2 extremly young players playing as CB together.

I would better prefer this-

Fanni/Torosidis- Lucio-Demichelis- Lahm
Lell---------------Breno---Hummels----------

We should sell Van Buyten. Thanks for everything VB, but you are not Bayern quality no more. GO to Arsenal and save them :)

Look what im saying may be a bit erratic, but honestly, Breno, Lell, Hummels, and Fanni are not Bayern quality at all. I hear words spoken as if Breno, lell, hummels, and fanni have proved their skill completely, but it is the opposite. Rethink this, and actually consider if they truly are as good as we make them out to be.

Every time I see Breno play he looks better than all of our other defenders. I think he's the truth, the others you mentioned I'm not sold on, or in Fanni's case I don't know enough about. Lell seemed to come on a lot last year, but seems to have regressed since then. Hummels seems good, but Dortmund gives up A LOT of goals. But Breno always seems to be awesome, and I don't know why he doesn't get more chances. When he came on for Lell vs Mainz, there suddenly were no more runs coming in against us from that side, he even looked good in that 3-5-2 earlier this year. He's the CB we really need to keep, him and either Micho or Lucio, preferably Martin. Other than that I'm open to suggestions.

i see that: hummels, breno and kroos can become very good players, specially breno and kroos who can become stars.

lell and ottl always will be subs and nothing else. they aren't very good players. they haven't level for bayern but curioulsy they player more than breno or kroos.
we have to learn to make the diference. now everybody says bayern isn't for young players but the case is that not every young player has or will have level for bayern.
i would do this ranking
breno, jansen, kroos, podolski, schweinsteiger, lahm can be very good. this players have or will have level to play as starters in CL.
hummels, schlaudraff, trochowski, sosa won't be stars but they can be very good as subs in a top club.
but players like lell, ottl, guerrero,görlitz, misimovic, feulner, rau weren't very good 4 years ago and now they aren't very good yet, and they will never be.

so bayern should keep the best of them and sell the others. it's a fail sell hummels or when we sold trochowski and jansen.

I just noticed that Dortmund has actually let in less goals than Bayern this season. I guess Hummels is doing better than I thought!

Yea they have the second best defence in the BL right after Schalke. They also only have 2 defeats so far this season which is the fewest in the whole league , but on the other hand they have 9 draws as well.
