In just a year-year and half?
I think yes...i saw him giving interviews

Then I guess he has no problem at all being Ancelotti's assistant. He can also use English and Spanish and that may explain why he learned Italian so fast.

Not to mention he was our captain and very important player for 4 years. :)

He said some stuff that I didn't quite like while he was there and before leaving AC Milan... unlikeable stuff for a former Bayern captain.

Statistics are like miniskirts . What they reveal is tantalizing, but what they hide is crucial.

Go back in this thread and you'll find out yourself most likely... that's better than me working as a media. Maybe not all is covered there cause I've been following him while he was in Italy and used to get shit from Italian fans for his statements.

I will try to say it in my words... his statements sounded something like: his experience there was better than all his previous experiences altogether and stuff like that. He praised the Italian league and the Milan derby... considering it a superior experience to all his previous ones.
Not exactly what I would like to hear from one of our former captains after just 1 year and a half or even less in Italy.
Mainly fuel for BuLi is boring talk.

I get your point especially with him being a captain and all, but it's a fact of life that you have to lick up to your current providers. :P

You have to lick up but not the way he did... he said that AC Milan offered more to him than Bayern ever did, something like a "step up" and that for less than 1 year. And added his last title with AC Milan was the most special in his career. And Derby della Madonnina was the most exciting and special event that he has ever been present... but fine, I don't care, I always liked him so I'll forgive him cause he was probably drunk or on drugs... or maybe all of that in the same time.

If he loved Milan so much he would have tried to become an assistant there right esp. if he speaks the language?

Like say Zidane..Nowadays he's just like he was born in real madrid and never played for another club while the fact remains that he became a legend in juventus..

Van Bommel wants to come back here..there must be a reason..

Yeah, because Milan doesn't have like 10-20 other legends waiting in a row for an opportunity... not to mention how badly they treated their 5 time CL winner legend Maldini.

He's probably in pole position for his AC Milan past... :P If Klose retires this year, I'd take him... I know that some might disagree on this but I'd prefer Klose over him, nothing personal or maybe yes... 8)

I love Klose but for that role I much prefer MvB
