He missed a sitter against Austria and the uncertainty surrounding his future is said to be affecting his performances.

What a bull**** of an excuse! Even if he was worried about the end of the world, he should have made that goal against Austria!

If Gomez arrives, Podolski will almost certainly demand a transfer. Based on what we are seeing at Euro 2008, it might be a good idea to not rush this deal.

Yeah but that was the case at WC and he sucked ever since for Bayer and did well for Germany. It looks like the other way around with Gomez.

Not if they play like they are doing in the EURO though.

Toni and Gomez are sucking this Euro. I think Klose is doing quite well and from the very few chances he's had, he's managed to create perfect opportunities for his fellow players to score (even though Gomez missed 2 sitters).

Haha, good call! At the end of the day Klose won't be remembered for his time at Bayern.... From these name one might reckon that we have the best strikeforce in the CL but I would lower all these expectations.

Stuttgart To Meet Bayern Over Gomez Move
The potential transfer of Mario Gomez from Stuttgart to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich is gathering pace with the revelation that the two clubs are to meet.
»Comments (9) Print This Story Send To A Friend Contact Us galleria zoom Reports from Germany claim that personal terms between the German international striker and the Bavarian club have already been agreed and that concrete negotiations are about to begin.

Bayern officials have reportedly invited their Stuttgart counterparts to a meeting this Friday to discuss a possible move.

“Bayern have invited us and we have accepted” admitted Stuttgart chairman Dieter Hundt to ARD television. “Horst Heldt will be travelling to Munich.”

Gomez is one of the hottest properties in German football right now despite struggling for form during this summer’s Euro 2008 tournament.

Stuttgart are understood to be demanding around 25 million euros for their star man, but Bayern are likely to want to use Lukas Podolski as part of a cash plus player offer.
“My heart is red through and through. Personally, it’ll be much better winning the Champions League with Bayern Munich than with Real Madrid. When I arrive at the Säbener Strasse, it’s like coming home" - Bastian Schweinsteiger

We just broke a record with Ribery last year (25-30 million) and now another massive spending on a player?! A player whom we don't really need for next season...

And Hoeness said that they won't spend a lot of money, if any.

I don't think Bayern will pay more than 15 million for him.

I would not give them podoslki for gomez. But i do want Gomez, he will add the depth to the team. Have all 4 and play a rotation policy. If you score you play the next game. If you don't the other striker plays the next match. Put podolski behind the strikers as our AM.
Bayern are number 1
