I have one issue/question. Why are people here quoting tweets when it comes to news when you could just post the full articles? It's very annoying to me...

Great goal from Gotze today! If he can keep up this type of form and finishing his future at Bayern may still be possible

I hope we can see a 4-2-3-1 in future games with Thiago-Vidal at the base of the midfield and Gotze as a #10. He has earned at least the right to have a chance like this.

Some praise is well deserved after yesterday's game. Seems to have found a role under Pep, again, without that false 9 bullshit. Here's to seeing more of the same.

He's definitely no Messi, but he's managed to find a way to contribute. Loew can play him where he likes but God please preserve Lewy and Mueller for Bayerns number 9.

Even for Germany, he is usually behind Muller most of the time.

He hasn't really impressed me playing out wide but he isn't as invisible in games as he was the last two seasons. I would still like to see him have more games he makes big contributions but I'm more or less content with what I have seen so far.

Yes, he's actually one of Bayern's best in central attacking positions. No 10 is ideal, but the (right) wing is ok too, if the fullback played enough overlaps/out wide, allowing Goetze to drift in from time to time.

Last season he looked like he didn't even bother trying at times; if he lost the ball he didn't try to win it back etc. Now he looks much better - not super-level yet but I believe he's heading there. I'm really happy for him, he's a nice guy. :)

In fitting with the vibes I'm getting from him, he never wanted to leave, knows that he made mistakes and wants to become one of the faces of Bayern in the future

I like it... Shows that the kid finally made that attitude adjustment that was neccessary... Now if he keeps up his good performances and improves, I don'T see why he cannot become an important starter in time...

The assist for Lewy's goal was godly. I think he can be an excellent provider from the rightwing. Time to step up Mario!
