I say he'll play a year in the champion's league for dortmund, just as hummels, and then both will join us. :D

that really depends on whether this dortmund will go down the same road as stuttgart did in 2007 or wolfsburg in 2009.

If they manage to keep performing for another two years then they could really become germany's 2nd topclub. And I really hope they do, it would make the BL far more attractive and far more competitive in Europe. We'll have to see how the young players are going to develop and if they want to stay at dortmund.

Well, well, well, well. Could this mean that Götze will be the Neuer saga of the 2012 transfer season? I really hope so. To have Götze as the long-term replacement for Robben would be marvelous.

Of course this thread will not see real life in quite some time, but it's nice to dream.

It'd be the most clever move from our board in a long time (yes, better than Robben and Neuer signings). Anyway if Dortmund already rejected a 40 M offer from Arsenal, i guess it will be EXTREMELY difficult to sign him. Our only chance is to wait until his last year of contract, and obviosly Mario's interest about joining us. THAT could be the definitive factor, just like what happened with Neuer.

Dortmund has a great chance to get results this season, which is why they rejected those bids outright. Next season, when Götze has a year less on his contract... and Dortmund hasn't sold a core player (Sahin)... and Götze is older and willing to make a step up... and Bayern has the need to acquire a new attacking midfielder to phase out/replace Robben... that's when the fun starts.

Besides, when Hoeness wants something, he usually gets it.

I dont know why we need him with an almost near perfect Attack unless we either gave up on kroos AND gomez.. (That's the only way goetze can be accommodated here)
I dont think Uli really meant it. i think it is a statement in response to Goetze's statement recently. just for fun? Yes, i think so

If we manage to get him in 2 years that would be perfect...but I doubt he will join us if others like Barca, Real, Man Utd show interest...he will rather join them as I dont see him being a player that wants to stay in BL after he leaves BVB.

But let's hope Ulli really wants him and our players in NT show him warm welcome like they did with Neuer:)

The reason I said in 2 years is because than Robben and Ribery will be around 30 years old and for a injury-prone winger that is almost an end.

Let's see and wait...I am sure even if we play with Ribery, Muller, Robben there will still be a lot of playing time for everyone considering how some of our players get injured all the time:)

Uli said he will do whatever it takes to extend Robben's contract.

I read some interviews with Götze and I have the feeling that he will stay for a very long time in Dortmund. He is happy living in Dortmund with his parents and his brother.

He is not that kind of guy I think. I read that he doesn't like partying, he doesn't drink alcohol and he goes to sleep very soon
