More like Vidal case I think. Our board believes he will join us eventually, whether next summer or later, but I don't think we've actually contacted him yet.

I also think it is possible, that while our interest is almost certainly genuine (I mean, it is Goetze...) the board is speaking about it to the media to reduce his concentration and make Dortmund fall further behind.

I think Kalle's recent comments indicate that we have reached an understanding/agreement with Mario himself... In the end Mario could force his current club to sell him to the club he wants to go, or he'll become a free agent...

And What Kalle said is that Dortmund can't decide for Goetze's future all by themselves...

I can't see any indications that there is an agreement of any kind but here is what we can expect.

Every 2-3 years Ulli Hoeneß has a new target of interest thus he and the entire management try make this transfer work. The most recent examples are Mario Gomez (after Stuttgarts 2007 championship) and Manuel Neuer (since 2009). So in 2011 he targeted Mario Götze with his "I WANT THAT PLAYER" - binoculars and we have some very good cards in this transfer bargain.

Still there is a chance Dortmund and the player could decide to make the deal with another club or even extend the contract for another 2 years (admittedly quite unlikely).

Yes but when he lays his eyes on a certain player it is almost certain that he will join us:)

I remember quite few transfers...more recent were Klose, Gomez, Neuer and a lot of players before that:)

And all of those players were best at their previous clubs.

So I am quite optimistic that we will get him...but it may take some time like it did with Neuer...2 years at least I am afraid:)

It was/is inevitable..
I was surprised this statement came out after a long time.. He is having the time of life in Dortmund and why would he not want to leave them.. I think things will very much change in 2 years..
I dont see any move for Goetze anytime before 2013 max...

It's true, he's a looker, ain't he? In a national team with Ol' Bug-Eyes, mister Can't Find A Razor and the test-subject for the worst hair stylists in the world, he's a good change of pace. :P

Since he has not received any calls from Spanish or German teams, it seems only Nike has been in contact with him. He signed a EUR15 mil, 1000 year deal with them last week. Don't quote me on the details please...

Ribery is our oldest star, goetze its the best candidate to replace him in the future.

I wish we get him on summer 2013.

Ribery will stay here longer than Robben. Gotze should replace Robben in the future.
I want Ribery here till the very end!

Gotze fits perfectly in Ribery's LM spot. Besides I think Robert only has 2 more years as a starter before his role starts diminishing.

R-robert?

No, I agree with Silenstrike. Ribery looks like he'll be in Bayern for the long-term. Robben I have never been sure of. Should the opportunity arise to replace Robben with Götze, well... I'd take it.

I doubt that Götze has the potential to ever reach 100%-fit Robben's quality... but for the sake of not having to change our tactics every other week I will agree.
