Neuer is the best damn keeper I ever saw play... And I've seen Olli Kahn ;)

sherpthederp got it right! ;)

Unfortunately I only saw Kahn in his final years.... it wasnt easy to watch Bayern in the US in those days, but he was my idol as a high school keeper

Neuer is still too young for me to be the best.... I've seen Buffon still play at an elite level at age 37.... to me, he's the greatest I've seen in my lifetime

Neuer still needs to play at a high level for another 5 years or so to make his way into that conversation for me

As much as I like Neuer as a goalkeeper, Oliver Kahn for me will always be the best goalkeeper ever in Germany. I wasn't a fan of Munich back then no, but he did great in the Champions League and the German squad as a whole.

Best thing about Oli was his attitude, his ability to push every single one of his mates forward. No matter the stake he was always plugged in.
ive seen a couple of games when Manu was at Schalke and he showed glimpses of Titan's attitude, but here at Bayern, being relatively new, unwanted by some the fans (at the beginning) and among big stars he was a little reserved. I believe that the captain's armband (one Lahm retires) will make him step up.

As much as I like Neuer, Kahn has a special place in my heart(as the best GK ever)... From the keepers I saw playing, this is my list: Kahn, Neuer, Buffon and van der Sar.

Kahn was a better shot stopper in my opinion. Probably the best ever, or at least up there in the conversation. Neuer is a great shot stopper, but I don't see him at that level, not yet anyway. He's by far the most complete keeper in history though

With him on the field, we outnumber the opposition from the start. He's a real 11th player in a way no other keeper currently is.

I think Kahn was a bit better one on one, but I think they are pretty much similar as shot-stoppers on goal I think.

What I liked about Kahn was his way to make saves... more artistic if you know what I mean...
And what about his one hand saves? Superb =D>
As in 1v1 I think Neuer is better.

go at 3.40.............

Well... Kahn is a legend - but I'm sure Neuer will be as well... He'll just get better...

Kahn has something in common with Robben though...

Ok, he was responsible for the Giroud goal, but let's take a minute and admire this. Can't see tweet? Click here!

One of the greatest saves I've seen in my life. =D>

I watch a lot of football, probably nothing compared to the older members here, but that is truly the very best save I've ever seen live.
