I love it when he wants to come forward and contribute when we're losing. This guy is awesome.

For his mistakes, I tend to ignore them hiding my face and laughing, thinking 'Oh man! You're still awesome!'

The only positive thing about seeing us losing is watching Neuer play CB or CM ,extremely fun and ultra hilarious

Former Bayern Munich goalkeeper Jean-Marie Pfaff says Manuel Neuer can become the world's best shot-stopper.

The 59-year-old said he admires the Bavarians' player, but warned that there is still work to be done if he is to live up to his potential.

"He's a strong keeper, of course. But just because he's playing for Bayern doesn't mean he's the best in the world," Pfaff told TZ.

"Nobody talked about that when he was at Schalke. He can become the best keeper in the world, but he must perform on the top level for some years, for example at the World Cup 2014," he added.

Pfaff went on to praise the 26-year-old's technical abilities, and believes his footwork is a key attribute.

"He's a big factor of stability, because his colleagues know that there's someone behind them who can sometimes save the impossibles," the Belgian continued.

"Neuer is two-footed, can solve any problem without hoofing away the ball. He is playing nearly as well as his team-mates, he could play as a central defender. And that's a big advantage for Bayern.

"They do not have 10 outfield players but 11, that's why it is impossible for any opponent to put pressure on them," he added.

Neuer has been in excellent form so far this season for his club, having played all 17 of his side's league fixtures, keeping 11 clean sheets in the process.

Bayern are currently top of the Bundesliga table with 42 points, with their next fixture coming on January 19 at home to Greuther Furth.

Maybe we should play Starke in goal and Neuer as CD against Arsenal. Damn, van Gaal must be punching holes in the wall with anger at the realisation he wasn't the one to come up with the thought of playing a Bayern keeper in a more advanced outfield role

FLASH NEWS!

Neuer had the balls to take the penalty in the CL final, but that may be difficult for him to repeat now that he lost his balls.

Ugh, that face!

Neuer was only in 4th place for the best goalkeeper award :(

1) Casillas
2) Buffon
3) Cech
4) Neuer

Well, it's pretty much true to be honest. Casillas was unbeatable for the most of last season and led his team to La Liga and Euro glories. Buffon led his team to an undefeated season and Euro final. Cech, well, we know what he did. Neuer might have been 1 trophy away from a 2nd place finish.

One should note that Neuer is a lot younger than those guys. Casillas (32), Buffon (34), and Cech (31) are all performing at the standard goalkeeper prime period. Neuer (26) is still 3-4 years away from that period, and already being equal (if not better) than them.

Next year, it's Neuer time for glory.

Is Manuel Neuer good enough with the ball at his feet for Pep to be convinced of his usefulness?

I really laughed out loud when I read this. But then it hit me... Pep Guardiola is going to coach Manuel Neuer. Just... think about it for a while.
