I'm glad for Javi that Pep wants to play 3 at the back and made him his boss in the defense as the central man. Then he got injured.

Yes he is, because he always stay at back for help defenders in defensive tasks, also one of his main functions is to recover the ball.

Don't confuse his passing skills with his main function, he is a distributor as Boateng, Badstuber and Dante are also but as central backs.

Agree with PunkCapitalist. Yeah he's a defensive midfielder because that's the position he occupies, but he's not exactly the destroyer in midfield. I don't think Xabi coming in was Pep saying, oh crap we needed someone to break up play (looks past Schweini, looks past Martinez, oh look there's a nice looking 32 year old fella over there he must be a beast).

In my opinion he would have left with or without Pep. It's not like Pep had much time to see him train and play. It was Jupp who benched him in favour of Martinez.

I think that the Gustavo transfer was our biggest loss since Hummels.

Kicker: Wolfsburg have offered Luiz Gusatvo the captain armband. But his wish remains to change club.

So if no agreement for a transfer is met, the captain will be the guy who wanted to jump ship. Must work wonders for the dressing room atmosphere.

This is the equivalent of an office job... someone walks in with a resignation letter because he found a new job, but management give him a promotion instead.

a week or so ago I read that you should not accept counter offers from employers!
