Werder: Verhandlungen mit van Gaal? [source]

According to sources of the "Hamburger Abendblatt", Werder Bremen negotiated with LvG... Whether they can afford him, remains to be seen.

Werder Bremen, Stuttgart, Hamburg ... these 3 clubs should be on the same level as Dortmund.

Hamburg should be on the level of 1860... Extinct from the Buli, like dinosaurs should be...

Bremen does not meet the infrastructural requirements...
Berlin, however, does...
Stuttgart and Hamburg just **** up too many times... And they should be playing in the same league if soccer were always fair... And it's not HSV's league...

What do you mean by that ? Bremen and Dortmund have almost the same population pool and I think Bremen is a richer city based on GDP per capita.

I really want their stop watch stopped one and for all... For those who don't know HSV have stop watch in their stadium to mark how many years months hours minutes they have been in the 1.BuLi, they are the only team to never get relegated.

@ #12 why do you write soccer and not football ? Maybe not to write fussball by mistake?

I have always been leaning a little more to the American-English side - so it almost comes natural that it's "soccer" to me...

However, the Ruhrgebiet is densely populated and they are debatably the biggest club there... Also it used to be extremely valuable economically... They have a bigger pool of fans, both potentially and currently... HSV is the bigger one in the Northern part of Germany... (CL titles for HSV and also Dortmund playing a big role too...) Their stadium is bigger - and has been for ages... Dortmund are in North-Rhine-Westphalia and I believe well supported by the state, while Bremen is among the poorest states in Germany...

Incredibly intelligent man for sure. Unfortunate that there were cases during his tenures where he couldn't execute his good ideas because of issues with players and club management.
