That speed was absolutely insane. He made Sterling look like Mertesacker.

To be fair, Coman was well accelerated at the same time Sterling was unbalanced and about to fall on the floor. Sterling then needed to accelerate from an unbalanced position with the ball at his feet. Back when I was fit, I'd probably have kept up with him myself in such circumstances.

Coman has produced quite the highlight reel for a 19yo who has been in the team less than 6 months.

He often pulls 3-5 defenders on him and creates huge spaces in the center. He just needs to improve his final decision-making (shooting, crossing) and he will be well on his way to be a superstar. I'm so happy we got him.

He really came to life towards the end of the game, when Olympiakos gave away a little more space at the back.
Really talented and seems to have an awful lot of stamina for such a 'young kid'.

His final ball is still pretty sloppy but he is making good runs and doesn't really fade out of games like most young players

Huge potential for Coman if he improves his shooting technique then he will be massive , shooting & finishing training in front of the goal is what he has to train every day, every hour, every team practice then he will be a real monster on the wings,he is just 19 so I'm very positive for his future at Bayern!

Coman is agile, good technique, can dribble, very dangerous on the 1v1 and can play for both flanks, his final ball is quite good also and as the time goes by his delivery will get even better only if he had the finishing of Martial, damn he would be already an undisputed starter!

I read we actually targeted Martial... I see them on par though and Coman was WAYYY cheaper... ;)
Thanks for nothing, :pep: !!

Of course he is. No one thought that he would be getting so much time on the pitch when we got him. He's doing remarkably well, and should be happy about it.

I know you cant really compare the two players because they play different positions etc. but they are about the same age, transferred to their current club at around the same time, debuted for the same national team around the same time and have played a similar amount of games so far this season.
The player on the right is Kingsley Coman, guess who the player on the left is?
Spoiler: show
Hint: Man U paid 50 million Euro for him

We definitely got the better deal with Coman and the 2 year loan with option to buy for 25m was a great move by our management

Martial does look impressive when he plays, but I'd take Coman any day.

I think that they are both at the same level. However Martial has an advantage since he is more of a first teamer than Coman!

Well, our squad is not in a poor enough state that we'd have to look up to a 19 year old carrying the team in offense ;)

But Coman has been far more of a first team regular than anybody could have expected. Pep seems to like him a lot. I remember the coach cracking a very pleased smile with one of Coman's dribbles near the end of one of our latest games (I think it was Arsenal).

PD: Pep seems far more relaxed on the stands lately, I don't know if that's a good thing or not.
