Wouldn't be a first now, would it?

Well, the purpose was to defend our own goalkeeper, created in Bayern, Thomas Kraft from the critics of our own president Uli.

Also Neuer as a Schalke goalkeeper, provoked Bayern fans many times , so there is a reason for fans being angry with Uli during that period of rumours about signing Neuer.

Yes, that infuriated me more than anything else and don't like to recall it... but still wanted him here. Neuer should feel ashamed of his Scheisse past... everyone has his scheisse moments.

I am very surprise how one of the most provocative player against Bayern, finished to be very identified with the club.

Success shadowed dark moments... or say scheisse moments.

So what? Sammer played at BVB, was a fierce rival and now he is the most likeable guy in the Bayern management.
I would go that far to wish him becoming a Bayern president or replace Rummenigge some day...

If he was accident prone and not any good, no one would forget.

So do you imagine anyone German from Bayern who played 5+ years in Bayern going to BVB and becoming their sporting director?
Cause I don't :!:

Everything has got to have an antidote... he won titles with us and Germany and everybody forgave, or almost.

That's... actually true, now that I think about it... Dubious honor though IMHO... :D
But you're right, better than Rummenigge #-o

tflags wrote:That is quite a stupid actitude by the so called hard fans.

How so? They speak of "sportsmanship" and that it should be a core value of every "Bayer" - and I don't think they're wrong...

pyrasur is right when saying, there's not too many high profile games in the group stage - but if you can see Barca-Bayern every other week it would take out some of the brisance as well... "Europapokal" is, especially for the die hards, about adventure, travelling, getting around, being on the road, supporting the team... Also, yeah, especially an American would definitely call them "left-wing", but they're actually pretty moderate... Rummenigge has offended them quite often in the last few years though (especially since Uli had to go to jail) - in particular with his ongoing ass-kissing, submissiveness and overpraising of certain coaches...

About the Neuer thing: honestly, even they know that was a mistake in retrospect... But back then, I bet very very few - including me - knew he would leave that much of an impression and that big a footprint here! I knew he was good and I knew Kraft was not as good as him... But that he would be a piece in the puzzle that would make us that much better and on top of that be that much of a role-model?! No way!

Why is it fans don't seem to complain much about the international BS games that not only are we and the players subjected to all the time, but happen during midweek. Suddenly it's an issue when we talk about the Bundesliga?

I am much more against being forced to wait weeks for Buli action because we have to watch international players try to summon motivation to play these games that mean nothing and where they only have a chance of getting hurt.

I like Monday games, and so should fans. The less games played at the same time means the more live matches one can watch. I don't understand how the fan loses. In fact they should be separated even more in my opinion, like playing on Saturday and Sunday at like 10am.

Well... If you exclusively watch TV you don't... If you're a die hard fan and/or if you care about the atmosphere in the stadium you do lose... Because those people work too, you know...
