It took Mourinho taking Chelsea to relegation zone to do that. Man U didn't do it for LVG and Moyes until the CL was lost. Most teams simply wait the entire year to evaluate.

And I am not really supporting Carlo here. I was kind of his fan to begin with but it seems like he has lost the team here.

You may see it as too early a sacking; I see it as one being several months late. It should've been last season.

I am not sure on that. But even if I were, the point is that it's hard to fire a coach midway through the season for a variety of reasons. It's hard to get a good replacement, it makes it seem like a rash decision since you are not giving the coach a good part of the season to prove himself.

There is a reason why pretty much unless calamity happens (i.e Chelsea in 2015-16), top clubs don't tend to make that decision. Most of these clubs have good enough players to carry them throughout a season even if the coaching is bad. Relegation clubs compete in a different world where urgency is much bigger.

I wouldn't say do it right now, but winter isn't unreasonable at all for me....Unless perhaps we're eliminated by RBL, 5th or worse in BL and have lost to PSG and Celtic already in group stage by end of october)

Well his decision to start Robbery even in a weak game against Anderlecht, where he should be testing other options, is the end for me. It's a question of when, not whether he should be replaced anymore...

For example, if we get eliminated in the German Cup 2nd round against RB Leipzig it would be fair to say that Ancelotti's job would not be safe.

I think it is safe to say, Timo Werner putting a few past us in that game means an immediate Carlo exit.

There is a reason why pretty much unless calamity happens (i.e Chelsea in 2015-16),

I am pretty sure a Pokal early exit + relegation to EL means calamity for a top-flight club like Bayern.

Wonder how he's gonna do it? Just like LVG who put Luca Toni in the reserves playing with kids?

one of two things, or both.

1. Play James vs weak teams so he can say "see, James is better"
2. Play Müller out of position (wing in 4-3-3) so that he can say he played Müller but knowing he won't play well there.

heads have to roll asap...
I would start with the coaching staff ... the technical staff... and if some players don't change attitude they too should be placed on the market.

Addendum to point 2: and claim he's still never seen Müller on the wing.

Pretty much the only thing we are hoping for is that Carlo is some sort of CL magician. In other words, I don't know how bad we need to fail on other fronts for him to get fired before we exit CL. We'll go all out on him there...as long as we are in the CL Carlo is safe IMO.
