Rummenigge's Contract with Bayern as Board President expires in 31st December 2011

So There are discussions that Oliver Kahn should be His Replacement

However , Kahn said that the next 2 years belong to His Study

Rummenigge said that TSV 1860 will still have to pay the Rent of Allianz arena

Tax evasion charges against Rummenigge: apparently in February he brought two Rolex watches worth around €100,000 from Qatar and did not pay the 19% import taxes. The main customs office in Augsburg wants to slap him with a fine of €300,000 but Rummenigge is refusing to pay, claiming that they are second-hand watches given to him by a friend in Qatar. [source]

To be honest, I'm more concerned with the real reason someone in Qatar would want to give such an expensive gift to Rummenigge, rather than Rummenigge trying to evade taxes.

It's one those conspiracy theories.

Spoiler: show
You do know he's the ECA Chairman right? :)
Even Blatter accepted that Qatar WC was due to political influences.
Plus if you want the leagues to agree, you need the clubs to agree and in turn you need the ECA to agree for the Winter WC.

I'm not blaming KHR. People would surely try to lure him and other powerful European sports personalties for the switch which is looking imminent now.
Just that after Blatter's revelation and almost all European votes going Qatar's way for WC hosting with the European crisis, I'd say take every news with a pinch of salt. There's too much going on behind the scenes and obviously Qataris' are trying everything for the shift to Winter and non-cancellation of their candidature due to heat issues.
