E: Bayern confirm it too.

Peter Hermann and Herman Gerland will assist him.

Jupp: "I wouldn't have returned to any other club in the world, but Bayern Munich is a matter of the heart. My coaching staff and me will now do everything we can to make sure that the team can present succesful football to the fans. I'm very excited."

Great news Jupp is back. He is a solid pair of hands at this stage, and he will command respect.

The way we never renewed his contract after winning the UCL and getting in Pep wasn't well handled, and I'm glad we can get him back again, even for a short time.

One thing is for sure, now all those guys who were throwing their weight around at Bayern will have to shut up and start doing what they’re getting paid to do - play football and deliver results.

In CL? Yes. Real Madrid are the only European team clearly above us. Man for man I think Bayern are strong enough (under a good coach) to handle Barcelona, Juventus and even PSG I think.

Juventus seem to have regressed for some reason since last season. People talk about Bayern being an ageing team but Juve are even worse. Costa has been mediocre for them and I haven’t seen enough Bernardeschi.

Barca’s early league form is deceptive. Don’t let it fool you, they have not suddenly improved dramatically and they should be thankful to Messi who’s been in outstanding form for them in La Liga.

PSG may be a strong attacking force but their defensive mettle is yet to be tested.

I’d say only Real Madrid are complete in all aspects and are the biggest threat in the CL. They are generally slow starters in the League and pick up pace post winter. Also, RM in the CL is a totally different team than in La Liga.
