He earned € 10m in two years at Bayern and is 68 years old. He's owns a fvcking mansion and a beautiful finka in Spain for the summertime.

So what does he care about more money he will never spend? Quality of life and health are much more important. Especially if you've got no regrets leaving coaching behind as a coach who won the CL with Real Madrid and Bayern München. What more is there in football?

Win the WC as a coach with NT :-)

Or fail and enter the collective memory of a nation with 80 million people as a has-been.

They are rumors he might coach in Turkey at a position that recently opened up.... [source]

He definitely wouldn't turn down Madrid to end up coaching Galatasaray. Not even the "Ramsey Effect" can do that ;)

Turkey is the last place a retiree would want to coach. He wants to enjoy and have an easy time right?

Just another standard match between Besiktas and Galatasaray...

The FIFA nominations for manager of the year are:

Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid CF), Rafael Benitez (Napoli), Antonio Conte (Juventus), Vicente Del Bosque (Spain), Sir Alex Ferguson (Manchester United's former coach), Jupp Heynckes (Bayern Munich's former coach), Jurgen Klopp (Borussia Dortmund), Jose Mourinho (Chelsea), Luiz Felipe Scolari (Brazil), Arsene Wenger (Arsenal).

Surely Heynckes must be among the favourites to pick up this one, after a record Bundesliga and treble-winning season.

It should be a crime to even consider not awarding it to him.

If they give this to Fergie, there will be blood. Why do they even have a shortlist. Surely this is a no-brainer.

It's not FIFA as a committee that votes. It's the member associations. But yeah, the effect that FIFA might have can favor a choice over the other as evidenced by last year's World XI.
