IMO he would be a great option for Germany if JLo fails to bring silverware in WC'14...

quaazi wrote:What improvement would Jupp really be for the national team? Jupp's strength is strategic man management - would anyone really have thought we'd have such a quiet dressing room this season with all these egos? But Löw's already castrated the national team after fiascos like Frings and Ballack.

Naw, I don't think Jupp's strengths would work well there.

His man-management is exemplary, no doubt about it... But that's not his only strength... He also has a clear idea of the game, a clear game-plan which is very balanced and successful... He also prepares his team for every match really well, both tactically and psychologically... and he knows many of the German NT players inside out, because he has coached them here for two years...

He specializes in what Germany lacks the most: he has a very balanced approach to the game and understands the importance of a sustainable defensive structure... I really don't remember JLo's team defending well in the past few years, and I think that has been Germany's Achilles' heel...

The most important thing is that his age fits well with the job: he may not be up to it to work under constant pressure over the long season at this age... but a NT coach has far less matches to handle every year, and he would be able to perform at 100% for such occasions...

I think he would be perfect. just look at bayern games against Juve and Barca. It's like playing Italy and Spain, you know the rest...Low should quit now that Jupp is available.

I agree he would be perfect for NT for one more reason. He seems to be perfect for knock-out games, which are the kind of games NT usually has in Euro/WC.

Definitely a great choice, but Loew isn't leaving before the WC so it's unrealistic.

I was speaking about after the WC and if Loew failed to win it...

I think that Heynckes will either take up a job now or retire for good.

Well... another option would be to rest for one year, which could be very important for a man of his age after such a high-pressure job... and then take the NT job...

I have a strong feeling that he'll be in Spain next year with one of the two giants.

After that, he can take over the NT after JLo somehow come up with a ridiculous costly formation in the SFs ;)

That's a nice moment right there. Anyone with a video of it?

I really hope that we get the CL trophy for his sake. This should go down as one of the best season performances of all time, and it should always be attributed back to him, regardless of the expected successes (hopefully) with Guardiola over the next few seasons. He deserves this. Danke Jupp!

It will be the greatest season ever if we win both European and Pokal final. No doubt in that.
