You would have to be tactically inept to say that!

Today I read Jupp's comment where he told this is his last Bundesliga season. It's clear that he has annonced his retirement.

Let's hope with great success.

I still have a feeling that he'll be coaching madrid or something like that. For a year atleast

What a man! What makes me sad is not that he will leave after this season, because it is time for him to retire and I am happy that we're getting Pep. What makes me sad is that we didn't get him before, that we let him go twice. Had we kept him after Klinsmann left we might already have won the CL by now. Then again Jupp's team might have looked very different if it didn't have LVG's team as it's base...

I really hope the rumours of him getting a non-coaching job at Bayern are true. [-o<

To be honest, we needed the LvG injection. That was the catalyst for becoming what are right now. Heynckes is the best out there in stabilizing and strengthening a squad, but he isn't as much visionary as LvG is.

Definitely. But just because we'd have been very different had Heynckes stayed it doesn't mean we wouldn't have been this good.

As i said before
LvG highly improved the passing and ball holding skills of the team, induced the cb passing thing and gave us some unexpectedly great players

And even Hoeness said that Louis Van Gaal is a great coach and that he totally doesnt regret bringing him to the team (and both werent really friends so i think this means something)

Jupp Heynckes as a national team coach? Why not for Germany?

Postby icewizard » Tue May 14, 2013 5:54 pm

Hey guys, i just read an article (in french, source: AFP) in which Herr Jupp is not interested in coaching Bundesliga side, or is not looking for a foreign club. I'd love to have him as the German Nationall Team Coach... Joachim Löw did a good job, but i always had the feeling of something incomplete... I'd love Herr Jupp being the coach on the field, and Joachim of managing everything administrative...

What do you think?

What improvement would Jupp really be for the national team? Jupp's strength is strategic man management - would anyone really have thought we'd have such a quiet dressing room this season with all these egos? But Löw's already castrated the national team after fiascos like Frings and Ballack.

Naw, I don't think Jupp's strengths would work well there.

Let me see...

Klose, Gomez, Müller, Götze, Reus, Özil, Kroos, Gündogan, Schweinsteiger, Khedira, Bender...

11 players for 6 positions on the field, if you don't have man management there, i don't know where will you...

And this is without counting Podolski (out of action since he doesn't bring as much as others)
