That would've been stupid. We all love Jupp, but our management isn't going to throw away an amazing long-term prospect just to give Jupp another run.

Agreed! Thats why I said the board kinda had to be a little disrespectful to Jupp in order to ensure the long term future of the club. Jupp has done a lot for Bayern so i doubt it was anything personal....

You can still see hints of that rage in him!

The modern day footballer are a pampered breed, and he is of the old school, but he's managed to get the best out of Ribery and even seems to be able to deal with Robbens sulks. Heynckes has been good for Bayern the last couple of years, and he'll be going out no matter what happens with the utmost respect from everyone connected to Bayern.

It's a good thing he's mellowed out. If he hadn't, we could have been witnessing early 2007 again.

There are rumours that Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao are after Jupp Heynckes, who has already coached in Spain with Real Madrid in 1997/1998. [source]

Bilbao? Again...? The only route for him now is the Nationalmannschaft or NationalRuhestand, that is about it.

Now this could be a twist. Barca for sure might do with a plan B kinda coach.
Bilbao- They are struggling currently. I'm not sure Jupp would like to go back there again.

@tflags : I support your opinion. He would do wonders with the NT. But Low will move on only after 2014 WC. So he might have to wait for a year.

Rumours are getting ridiculous each day... There were reports that Chelsea wants Jupp too (wtf).

I greatly admire Bielsa, why can't they keep him? Bilbao is so "restricted" though, even a genius won't turn the club to wonders.

Well I guess Bayern and Dortmund are such hot properties now, Kloppo is also linked to many clubs :P

Well, I'm glad that Jupp is finally getting the recognition that he deserves. I actually think that there is a pretty decent chance he ends up back in Spain, albeit with Barcelona. I don't think Barca will continue with Vilanova, due to both health and competence issues, and they'll need a specialist in straightening their ship. Jupp (or Bielsa) would make a great coach for them.

I hope they go for Bielsa, maybe (and hopefully) by winning a treble, Jupp will retire with the "highest honours" and enjoy gardening.
