Based on what, the 3 mins he played against CSKA Moscow on 27th Nov 2013, the 62 minutes he played against Dinamo Zagreb on 9th December 2015, the 25 minutes he played against Carl Zeiss Jena or the 89 minutes he played against Augsburg?

That's a total of 179 minutes, 1 minute less than 2 full matches. Is two matches worth of playing time spread over 3 years enough to convince you that a player deserves more playing time than the younger player who placed 2nd and 3rd in the last 2 years of the Golden Boy award?

Now, I don't mean to hit on Green. On the contrary, I'm a big fan of his story and would really like him to succeed (also think of the great marketing opportunities to the US) but we've simply not seen enough of the player to formulate an opinion like this. He's now had SIX club coaches in his professional career so far, who watch him train on a daily basis, far more than any of us watched him play, and neither of these three coaches felt he deserved more playing time because otherwise they'd have given him that. During almost a whole season on loan at Hamburg, he had FOUR head coaches (Slomka, Zinnbauer, Knäbel and Labbadia) and rather than giving him the playing time that was expected Hamburg relegated him to the reserves and all hell broke loose.

So how, with having watched him play for no longer than 179 minutes for Bayern, can one conclude he deserves to play more than Coman? The same Coman that a few of us were (jokingly) asking for an instant Ballon d'Or on the forum, less than a year ago. OK, Coman is in a patch of bad form, but we've seen what he can do. You can't say the same thing about Green.

But I have seen enough of Coman to formulate that op. Bar the miracle against his former club he showed nothing to justify all the hype that surrounds him. Maybe the fact that he is french makes him better than green. Who comes from a non footballing nation.

COman has sucked this season though and my reservations last years on him are coming to fruition.

COSTA, RIbery and Robben are significantly better than Coman right now

The funny thing is that he actually had 7 coaches, although one of them coached Hamburg II and didn't get to watch him train. However, he was allowed to play him when Green was not appearing for the first team and he still only gave him one appearance according to wikipedia.

He seems to have picked up in his few appearances under Ancelotti though so I have some hope left in him. I had given up completely a long time ago.

I think it's about time this happens. It was somehow hoped that he'll be good enough one day for us give that he was kept as our forward backup this year, but all indications suggest otherwise. I think it's fair for both parties to separate.

He seems like a good kid, and would have been great if he succeeded here. But there's not much that suggests he will develop to be Bayern quality.

Even though he made a strong impact in the preseason with a hattrick and a good appearence against Augsburg in the Pokal with a header?

Maybe a cheap sale with a buyback option?...

If this is true, then Bayern must/should be eyeing a striker signing in January.
