just read on sportmediaset that the Mancini solution has cooled off and the favorites are a Bruce Arena return or someone between Sigi Schmid & Peter Vermes

I bet my money on Bruce Arena:

1) 2 World Cups with the USMNT including the qualifying campaigns (something that is in jeopardy for 2018 right now).
2) The guy inspires more respect than Klinsmann in the US
3) For some reason has a single clause in his contract with the LA Galaxy: he can leave in the next 2 years only for the National Team post.

Both Schmid and Vermes know the US system and even the CONCACAF very well but they can be a gamble taking over the team and turning the qualification around in March.

We'll see where which team Klinsfrau is going to lead in future. :)

Bruce Arena is the boss and I won't be surprised if he returns. He's a legend and a very good coach.

Both unknown out of the USA but very well known in the MLS.

Vermes is the head coach of Sporting Kansas City
Sigi Schmid although born in Germany lived all his life in the USA with a long career coaching MLS teams but he is currently unemployed after coaching Seattle Sounders for 7 years.

They both lack international experience and will be too unpredictable managing the National Team

Hans-Dieter Flick? He is the Sporting Director for the DFB. I think you are not allowed to forget his name since he was a Bayern Player, a fringe player but still a player.

Bruce Arena accepted the job today according to close sources and the contract terms should be ready by Monday (Thursday-Friday is a holiday in the USA)

Jill Ellis will have to wait, maybe Hope Solo can do it if she can keep her mouth shut and her head in the right place.
