He had a great first season, there is a top quality player in there, I hope Carlotti can uncover it again. That being said, I don't think he's had a poor season, people are simply looking for a scapegoat.

Worst player on the pitch, like every big game.

Not a surprise to see him so weak again.

And some people think he's a great player.

Please. I can tell you 50 LB better than him :

Rodriguez, Schmelzer, Wendell, Wendt, Felipe Luis, Marcelo, Alba, Siqueira, Tremoulinas, Maxwell, Bedimo, Coentrao, Ghoulam, Evra, Sandro, Digne, Shaw, Monreal, Gibbs, Baba, Azpilicuetta, Fuchs, Kolarov, Clichy etc etc...

And it's not even a joke #-o #-o #-o
Bayern 3-3-3-1 build-up under Heynckes :
Neuer - Boateng Hummels Thiago - Kimmich Vidal Alaba - Robben Müller James - Lewandowski
Neuer- Boateng Vidal Hummels- Kimmich Martinez Alaba- Robben James Ribéry- Lewandowski

I think he's alright.... the reality is, he's a backup LB... you're not gonna have world class players as backups

and with playing Alaba at CB, he had to play in a game he shouldnt be playing in

now the argument can be made, should they be playing the Bernat/Alaba combo over Alaba at LB with 2 of Martinez/Benatia/Kimmich at CB

I wasnt happy to see Bernat OR Alonso in the lineup.... and their play sure didnt change my mind

but I'm alright with Bernat being on the team.... I'm not happy when he's 1st choice LB with Alaba playing CB

I still cannot believe that Pep decided to start him AS LB when he could have used Benatia or even Tasci >>>> ????

Tasci? Please no...

Simplest thing would have been to start Kimmich, who was decent, play Alaba on the left... Keep out that **** Alonso and play and actual reinforcement instead, called Thomas Müller... But nooooooooo... That's beneath his dignity...

I'm not a Benatia fan ... but when I see this game ... Don't know how Benatia and Martinez didn't start together.

The lack of quality for build-up would be here, but with Alonso it would be ok ...

He had a better season than Götze ever had at bayern. Now he is having a Götze like season and we are giving him so much hate.

Need to show love to the players and motivate them. If they don't feel wanted then they won't do well

Agree. Got to support him. But still... He shouldn't have been on the pitch today and Alaba shouldn't have been a CB.

I agree with that. We still need to pick our 11 based on prior performances, so maybe he is dine for the year (not including BuLi)
