He's got a lot of passion. If he keeps that he's going to be a great player.

This guy is a beast, top performance against Hamburg and he's been getting better and better. I would go as far and declare him the Bundesliga's 3rd best LB and there's so much more room to grow for him. He reminds me of Bixente Lizérarzu with his pace, his quality on both ends, his fine technique and the neat passing game.

One thing's for sure, those € 10M were money well spent.

We surely bought well. With him, it allows Alaba play into a more complex role.

When he develops his passing and shooting skills, which he has planty of time to do over the years, he will be a superb player!

This kid is stepping it up big time. I'm really liking the way he's grown so far this season. You can see him improving and gaining more and more confidence with every match. We're going to need more of that with Alaba going down.

Offensivley he needs to contribute more in my opinion. He has been playing well for a player in a new league and country but I hope he can improve his offensive side of his game because being on the flanks he is easily left unmarked if positioned correctly.

He'll have a little more on his shoulder with Alaba being out of action. I hope he's up for the task. I have faith in him from what I've seen so far.

He plays and looks like the modern Spanish FBs he's competing with, Jordi Alba and Dani Carvajal.

He's Bayern material... I can see him knocking off his competition in the Spanish NT, with that attitude and commitment he's showing. And I already can see others knocking at our door for his services next year, offering big money. Great deal!

Both him and Alba came from Valencia. Carvajal plays on the other side, RB. His main competitor in terms of age is Moreno from Liverpool. But yeah they are the same build, diminutive, fast, high work rate.

He's been called up again by his national team, to face Belarus in the qualifiers and Germany in a friendly.

Fully deserved,in the last 4 games he was a real machine!

P.S: Valencia CF ,in the last 3 years has already produced Alba,Bernat and now José Gayá an exceptional talent too, maybe at Bernat's level. It's unreal to produce in such a little time 3 -at least decent- LBs (I think it's the most difficult position to find a class player)
