Guy lives in London...? And that was the magic trick? . Dude, you seriously need to lower your expectations.

It is more like ... Munich guy lives in London (for a while now) and has interviewed more Bayern players than any other international journalist in the past two years, wrote the definive book on Germany's youth development system that led to the World Cup title of 2014 (among other throphies) and is about to publish the English version (German is out already me thinks) on one of Germany's more celebrated coaches (Klopp in case you are wondering) and holds a weekly/regular column in both Spox and ESPN both in English and German sites/magazines covering the Bundesliga.

On one of his regular Sport1 TV invitations he discussed Goretzka's (??) transfer situation with Schalke's own manager which led him to tell him he was "very well informed."

As far as "everyone in Germany knows he's not connected to the club" because your powers of deduction told you from just learning he doesn't live in Munich anymore, well, I'm not entirely sold on that one.

Then again, that's just me.

Great, some arguments... So you waited till I put out a - deliberate, thought that was obvious - foolish remark to come up with those...

Interviews? Books? Great!
Know what „context“ is? I‘ll explain: Insider information is not gathered 1200 kilometers away...
When was the last time he revealed something Bayern?
And - that’s the point: THAT was the context that quote you keep fixating on was written in... Of course, if you‘d take that into account it wouldn’t help your „picking“ on me in that condescending way...

Mmm.
Was it two weeks before Ancelotti was sacked when he said he was done?
Was it a month before he got sacked when he spoke about his lack of trainning methods and his opinion within the club?
Was it a few weeks ago when he said the Goretzka deal was done?

:P

Well, buddy, I don’t know how many German outlets you follow, but for me to reveal is to be the first to publish something... He is in neither of those cases... And Goretzka remains to be seem if he’s even right (he probably is...)

I know I am - regarding the piece of work

Not saying this is definitive proof for anything... But none of this was unknown...

Either way: the interview is great...

Lahm mostly due to his sync with Robben something that Kimmich is not THAT good. You were feeling it with Arjen & Philipp that is coming, tremendous understanding. I know that I'm gonna miss that partnership very much.

Apart from that Kimmich individually this season is better is better than Lahm last season, individually.

I couldn't quite come up with an answer to my own question (which is why I asked) but I think I agree with your assessment.

Kimmich this season, easy. Lahm is one of my all-time favorites, but truthfully he was quite average overall at RB last season. :/

I don't think that this question is fair.

Up until now I can only say that there is only one P.Lahm ...

Definitely, and I agree with you there. But Lahm had declined a lot, that's why the emphasis on last season. I wanted to see whether people think we actually improved from last season.

Lahm in his last season left me a little dissapointed;he was not in his old form and was playing average most of the time.In other words,he was a victim of himself, because of his performances in the past.We all know that,we didn't say anything simply because he is one of all time greats for Bayern. The good thing was that he realised that he is not the player that he used to be,and retired on time.(not like Ribery who is refusing to accept that time flies for all of us).

From the things i said so far,it's easy to understand why i prefer Kimmich over the Lahm from the last season.Kimmich have the all qualities to become a legend for a Bayern. Thanks to the media,he will become more recognizable than Lahm in the next 7-8 years, and all we can do is to sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

Offensively, Kimmich by far.

Defensively, almost the same level (talking about last season’s Lahm of course).
