Exactly from A to Z as you said which means that his last real performances were in early spring 2015.

Top assists in the qualifiers as a full back. He is sick, probably would surpass the legendary Lahm in his career. I wonder what kind of beast he would be if he played as a CM/ CDM.

Personally I'm of the opinion that Kimmich would be at his absolute best playing as a wingback in a 3-5-2 or similar.

Agreed... and with the shortage of wingers we must look at something like that...

Yup, I'm with you there. IMO for too long we've been saying things like "This team is built for 4-2-3-1" or "Bayern style is 4-2-3-1" etc etc. Too married to that style of play. Not that it's bad but it doesn't have to be the way things are. IMO our squad right now is suited for a 3 man midfield (at least the midfielders are for sure) and our fullbacks both seem more like wingbacks. We have great CBs and are thin at wing. Müller/Lewy up top is a proven combo. It just makes sense

Joshua Kimmich named Player of the Month:
Joshua Kimmich does not stand out with his outfit or his jokes off the pitch, he shines by turning in strong performances. Kimmich was a pillar for the German record champions in September. The 22-year-old has not missed a single competitive minute this season. The Bayern fans acknowledged Kimmich's displays, naming him Player of the Month in September.

"It's nice if the fans think so and vote for me. It shows I've gained some recognition. It's an appreciation of my performance," a pleased Kimmich commented on the poll. The youngster claimed 19.5 percent of the votes, ahead of striker Robert Lewandowski on 16.9 and recent arrival James Rodríguez on 9.0 percent.

Joshua Kimmich:I don't need the captain armband to speak and say my opinion.
Kimmich:Jupp Heynckes came to me twice in training and told me a couple of things that I might have to improve.
It's my third season at Bayern and I had Guardiola, Ancelotti and now Heynckes as coaches. It's great for me at 22 years old.
Worried about your place under Heynckes?
Kimmich:I didn't miss a single minute this season and I want to keep it like that.
The club, the coach, we as players all realise that we have to change something to get back on track.
I want to climb up the team's hierarchy. I believe I will get recognition with my performances and therefore a higher status.
Kimmich on wearing the armband for Germany:That was a special moment. My childhood dream was to play for the national team. I'm so proud.

True. Since EURO 2016 I have been 100% convinced he is going to be a legend. Over the next 10 or so years, Kimmich will be one of the best players in the world - whatever position he plays in.
